Hi Everyone,

Irritating issue I am hoping someone can help me with...

I've been getting back into my Wii lately and am trying to get Tetris party working. Getting the black screen on start up and not sure why. Any thoughts? I have the latest USB Loader GX installed, and the emu nand stuff seems to be okay (installed the wad and pointed the path to my USB). I can get a few other WiiWare games working totally fine (Galaxy Wars and Contra Rebirth work perfectly) but not Tetris Party (bomberman blast is also giving the same issue).

I know not everything is compatible (I think bomberman blast is one of them), but from what I saw, Tetris Party should be okay? I've heard about Nand2o and saw a guide about it here (can't post link) but at first glance, it seems...mighty complicated and likely outdated. Is there a setting in the USB Game Loader GX settings I need to tweak? My Wii is Korean, but softmodded obviously and I set video to force NTSC and language - English.

If it's not a setting in USB Loader GX, is there any other (easier) way to make this work? Even better if I can get bomberman blast to work too!

Help and advice much appreciated!

Firstly, I should ask if you know if the .wad works. You could've just gotten a bad one (it happens), and need a better dump.

Although, I'm not a huge fan of Emunands and just use WiiMod Lite to install them straight to my system menu (However, since your Wii is Korean, that might cause issues when installing a US game to it), so I can't offer much insight on that respect.

There's a way to do it with Dolphin, but it's complicated and (if I remember correctly) involves installing a dumped NAND in Dolphin and.. there's guides on GBATemp for it if you wanna go that route. If not, just look elsewhere for a different WAD and try it on USBLoaderGX.

Just wanted to chime in and say that I gave up, but I'm quite happy and for good reason. Why use Tetris Party Wiiware when you could use a better version (Tetris Party Deluxe)? Why use Bomberman Blast when you could use Bomberman Land? I realized, after searching for advice, that those are not Wiiware games, have better features, and which work perfectly fine on my USB drive. Solved my problem! :)

(Also found out, through a lot of painful, painful searching, that I could get PAL games to work simply by selecting region patch in the game's loader settings in USB Loader GX).

Merry Christmas all!

Well, I'm glad you got that worked out (sorta)! Merry Christmas, gameroni.
