Hacking WiiU VC game injection working on 5.3.2

Well, ok, after some attempts and NO help i managed to obtain the elf from the rpx and I replaced the rom (the header is now clearly visible) but now the makerpl gives me "Could not map in file FAKE.elf" Error 0x80070002.... any hint ?

EDIT:
Going further: now i get CAFE_ROOT is not defined.... maybe a "space in folder names" probelm... will dig into it...

Finally got it to work (it was a "space in folder names" problem).
Dunno why nobody would like to explain me how to do that anyway I got it; will try to test a NES title soon.
I think "nobody helped you" because not many people have done it, and those who have might not have seen your post or known how to help. Don't be so bitter. Good job on figuring it out.

SNES injections:
[Super Metroid = Base VC for injection]

Contra 3= Playable with 1 issue (level 2 doesn't rotate the screen like it should when you press L or R.)

Stunt Race FX = black screen
Battle Toads Battle Maniacs =Playable
Battle Toads Double Dragon=Playable
Wario Woods=Playable
Mario Paint =Runs but can't move finger pointer

Blue Brothers=Playable
Dragon Quest 1+2 ENG Patch=Playable

Contra 3 is 1MB rom yes? Might work in other VC. Metroid might remap the L and R button. They are aim up and down iirc (cant remember which is which though).

contra 3 works fine injected into the rpx, i will test it injected via ram too, but the mode 9 stuff was working ok, i wouldn't have thought there would be much difference in compatibility between rpx and ram injections

its around 1MB yes. and it works but in lvl 2 the screen should rotate with your character when going through the streets which it doesn't only the player moves. but if it works in .prx thats awesome ill soon be trying out .prx loading. baby steps for me haha.

side note I looked into some hacks and forgot all about the Mario Paint (Joystick Hack Patch) this Version works perfectly.

worked fine as a ram injection too for me :huh:

hmm weird.
For now, the compatibility list entry is in "Issue", but if more people confirms that it works properly under super metroid, I'll revert back to "Working"

i was pariculary interested on kirby dream land 3 and Donkey kong country 1-3

Yea, hoping I have enough left to get one myself. I want me some gamepad Chrono Trigger. Lol. I'm interested in maybe figuring out how to patch them to widescreen.


I like some of the old games in widescreen better lol.

So i tryed modifying metroid Eur rpx i extracted the elf added joe and mac and repacked the rpx but all i get is disc read error, does anyone that did it correctly for the snes maybe give me some hints on whats happening?

you got the correct offset? for my unpacked metroid elf its at 0xFCB080
