Homebrew WiiMC RELEASED!!! (Wii Media Center)

This player looks great so far!

I would like to access "\\1.2.3.4\d$\Music" directly, but how? Making a link to "d$" works fine, but a direct link to a folder would be nice.

I've tried changing settings.xml in different ways:

You can't, but it does remember the last viewed folder. So when you exit it will open to that folder.

Ok, so did a trace on that code dump you USB people are getting. It comes back to:

Everything is running good so far for me. I had one problem where one dvd couldnt play. Gonna see if it was just that one disc.

Nice looking gui, I tested the WiiMC with sneek and i got error of : Cant mount FAT32

and i tried it with Uneek and i got no USb drive in the list.

But beside that working great, right now watching bounty hunter avi

as some one mentioned before, When trying to browse a pics 2 folder down, the WiiMC crashes.

Love it. Almost gave up on using my wii for watching video because mplayer_ce was having so many problems playing from SMB for me. Just gave this a try and it worked incredibly.

Directories loaded much quicker, the connection to my server was quicker, and until my wife came home no pauses or glitches at all. (I don't know what it is about her but she seems to disrupt networks. The netflix streamer glitches when she's around and so does my music player. My notebook even looses it's connection around her sometimes.)

Overall for my needs it's a HUGE step forward from mplayer_ce, big thanks for this one guys!

I hope WiiMC can someday support aspect resizing with the nunchuk like in Mplayer CE.
using the menu's to change values for videos kind of sucks.


Also Mplayer CE supports youtube video but you can't actually type in search terms.. Wii MC actually has a built in keyboard which should be able to do this.

Actually MPlayer CE doesn't support Youtube unless you happen to be on the same subnet as Extrems. Until someone ports cURL I can't add Youtube support. MPlayer CE has the same issue...it's due to a YouTube crackdown on system use.

Awesome.. Except IOS202 still doesn't work with my USB drive..

IOS222 works great, isn't this supposed to be pretty much the same?

I would love it when playing a video, pressing either plus or minus brings up a small popup menu with settings like Audio stream, subtitles, aspect ratio etc
