I had bought a WiiKey from modchipcentral.com.
Contacts are gold colored.
Build quality of PCB looks fine.
It came with a WiiKey hologrammed sticker, and the WiiKey.cn site had said modchipcentral is one of their official retailers.

Anyone else have a white wiikey? I googled and came up with nothing.

I dont have a legit cam, I'll try taking some pics with my (old, but 1 megapixel) camera phone.

edit: Heres some preliminary pics i took at my desk, I'll try and get a proper camera later, cause you cant see shit in these. The thumbnails are as detailed as the full size shots haha:

As you can see, white pcb, and came with a sticker. So I'm not making this up

I got this: http://www.modchipcentral.com/store/Wiikey...ogram-p-12.html

"We are official resellers and always have stock of the Wiikey modchip.

These are authentic Wiikey mod chips with the Hologram. Beware of other stores that sell the Wiikey without the hologram. It may be a clone. All authentic Wiikey's now come with a hologram sticker."

Before you posted the pics, I was guessing that it was probably going to be like the D2Ckey's color. It's probably an original, I don't think any clones have been different colors. My friend ordered one from modchipcentral about a month ago and it was the normal dark blue colored one.

Also, do you mind telling me when you ordered it and what shipping method you chose? I've ordered one to install on another friend's Wii.

I placed the order on 12/19. I chose the cheapest shipping option available, and it arrived today (from Canada to USA)

Seeing as how its the same PCB color as the D2Ckey, thats cool. I like the white chip better anyway.

I'm gonna solder it in right now. Wish me luck

I'm gonna do the short-wires method.

It's in and the wii boots and plays originals. Dunno about backups cause, well, im too lazy to turn on my desktop to burn anything, cause its such a hunk of junk (i use my lappy almost always, but its cd burner only).

As for the wiikey, looks legit so im happy.

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar

Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
