hmm...
with the 609 rev. i always get this, if i want to start a gamecube title:

i deleted the wiiflow.ini and devolution loader.bin.
using dml 1.5

if i try to start the games via the dml-loader, everything works fine..seems something changed since 600 rev :/
Try reload cache in wiiflow
lol, nah, i already tried this, doesn't work.

Do you even see the banner or does it crash before?
well...coverflow works, banneranimation works. if i click on the "play" button, screen seems to try switching another video mode, cd-drive does a short "shhhhhh" and then my posted error.
normally it should show up the internal dios-mios bootscreen and then gamestart.

i tried some various situations with r616...
started without a cd in the drive = crash like seen above
startet with some cd in the drive = gcloader screen showing up...message "apploader loading" shows up...then freeze
switched memory cards etc, nothing.

then i checked the new created wiiflow.ini and remembered about changes of r603:
Code:
-added new option in DML section in wiiflow.ini, dm_r2.1+, enabled by default, with the option enabled it will use cfg version 2 for dm 2.1 or higher,
if disabled it uses cfg version 1. It will be ignored if dml_r52+ is set to no since that uses the old boot.bin method then
in the ini there was "dm_r2.1+=yes" and "dml_r52+=yes".
since i'm only using diosmioslite i changed it to "dm_r2.1+=no" and tadaaa....FINALLY! the game booting again as it should be.
this was some annoying bugsearching :/

:/ gotcha, of course it needs to be off, such a stupid error lol

That wasn't exactly a bug guy, it was just an incorrect setting lol.

Anyways I need to update, but so far r590 has been working great I'm going to back up all my settings and try an online update today.

I got a problem with r615: I downloaded mario golf PAL = it would not load on my PAL wii running r615, so I tried the NTSC version and it loaded first time. I then went to delete the PAL version > it said deleted > I hit back = the game wasn't deleted and the banner was stuck at the top of the screen no matter what mode I switched to (nand, wii, emu etc)

It deleted the cover, but not the game, even after pressing home and then "reload cache" I could still boot the game, get to DM splash and it hangs (PAL version Mario Golf)
I didn't have that COMPLETE error but I deleted a Wii game and it deleted it just fine but just like you when it kicked me back to the coverflow the banner was still on the screen. In my case, though, it went away as soon as I selected another game (it was replaced by the newly selected game's banner and behaved normally from there on.)

I also had one instance where I ADDED a game and then went in and hit on that game's favorites icon to set it's category. I had done it quickly enough that the banner cache for the game had not been created until after I entered the category list so the banner appeared in the background in the top right corner. Usually in that menu there is no banner in the background at all and it reappears when I leave the menu.
Just tried launching a VC game(majora's mask) via wiiflow with the useneek option on and all it does is flash the wii drive light on and off constantly. Anyone else have this issue or does it work for you?
If i run neek2o and then the wiiflow forwarder I can launch the same game (with useneek off) just fine.
Do you have neek2o r90 installed? That's the minimum version it said for that feature on googlecode at least. I understand it's not released yet but just asking if you happened to be one of the people testing the beta.

but the incorrect setting setted via wiiflow as default if u use dml :P
Hmm.. if Wiiflow is setting both options to "yes" by default then your absolutely correct and it would be a bug. I'm still using 1.5 DML myself but IMO the ini should default to "dm_r2.1+=yes" if it detects the new DM, otherwise if it detects an DML it should set "dml_r52+=yes/no" depending on your version of DML. I don't know if Wiiflow is capable of auto-detecting the kind of DM(L) that is being run or if it's something that needs to be set manually by the user. Since I'm updating as we speak and might need to delete my .ini anyway, I'm going to find out shortly.

I'm going to try out the online update feature to see if it works properly or if it causes problems. If after I update I have issues which require that I delete my ini and the settings folder, then I suggest that Wiiflow do this automatically in future revs going forward.

Speaking of the online update feature, every time I try to update with it I get a code dump as the "saving" message appears. After the standard 5 second wait it just goes back to the frozen progress bar screen where you can see the "saving" message in the middle of the screen (so it crashed before it made it to it's final position on the left of the screen)

I then have to power cycle and go into WiiXplorer and manually extract the update.zip file and remove the boot.dol.bak file.

The last few times I've been updating from a beta version to an official release (I don't know if that matters) but I never remember about it so I never have my camera ready for the code dump.

anyone have any success with themes? i have been trying to use BlackWii_r585_and_up.zip, theme seems fine until i try to access nandemu. i get a code dump. if i go back to default things are fine. is it just the theme needs to be updated or a setting i can try?

thank you for any info

edit for info

im loading r616 btw

Alright well on my end it updated just fine. Progress bar finished, it reset, saw the new logo, and commenced to browsing my libraries. All seemed normal, unfortunately music I noticed didn't work. It was never stable in r590 anyway so I didn't mind. What I didn't like is that some of the covers for my plugins didn't show up even though I set them up exactly how wiiflow needs to see them. Literally 95% did, but almost all of my plugins always had a few covers that were stubborn and didn't show up.

I decided to test a clean install, renamed my usb1:/wiiflow folder to _test_ and deleted my ini. Started up Wiiflow via new forwarder, but wiiflow always created the root folder on my NTFS usb:2 partition. I booted via wiixplorer and HBC, same results. My games are on USB2 so I don't know if that has something to do with it. Shouldn't WiiFlow always create the root folder on same partition as app or is it based on wbfs folder location? When I deleted usb2:/wiiflow and renamed usb1:/_test_ back to wiiflow and booted app it did not re-create the wiiflow folder on usb2.

I deleted my cache see if that would fix the missing cover problem, there seemed to be much memory corruption in recreating my cache, over half my covers would load a question mark rather then the covers.

Confirmed r615 does create the ini with both settings to "yes".

Edit: [member='fix94'] I stopped WiiFlow from building cache and changed my theme to StarNight, and I had no problem browsing through covers and building the cache, every single cover loaded without an issue. I deleted default.ini to test, reloaded to default theme and cover cache problem persisted. Reloaded to Starnight theme and again building cache was no problem.. Strange but true, somehow it's related to the default theme maybe? I'm sure you know WiiFlow but dumps occur when changing themes between starnight and default, haven't tested other themes yet.

I'm very pleased to report though that PL4 neekbooter autoboots WiiFlow under all my neek2o NANDS with no issues and I have 100% compatibility with WiiWare/VC oh happy, happy day!

It's programmed to put the folder on the same partition where it finds the /wbfs/ folder UNLESS it finds a folder already named "wiiflow" in which case it uses that folder on the first partition where it finds one.

Perfect, thanks for the clarification, see my edited post for more info ;) all is well in that area then lol.

I have a problem to make the NAND (extracting). The system send me the message "Impossible find the valid FAT partition"
I have the micro SD kingston 4Mb formatted to Fat32.
why?

I have a feature request. I don't know if its possible or not (given the limited resources available on the wii), but can we get an FTP server built into wiiflow that starts as soon as wiiflow starts (similar to multiman on PS3)? I do almost all of my file operations via FTP using wiiXplorer, but its kind of a pain to switch to wii, quit wiiflow (back to HBC), browse to wiiXplorer, start FTP, and then switch to PC (my wii and PC share a TV).

Tangentially related: one thing I've noticed is that I can't launch wiiXplorer from wiiflow and still get access to the HDD. It doesn't show up as a device. I have to quit to HBC first. Not sure if this is a wiiflow problem or a wiiXplorer problem, or a third thing.

Very very interesting proposal

Yes, I think this would be useful. Even if its not on all the time, a button that allows you to go into ftp mode in wiiflow would still be useful. Similar to the "start-ftp server" feature in wiiXplorer.

well you can just start wiixplorer from wiiflows homebrew mode...

i agree though FTP add in would be sweet. also wad installation in emunand.

btw fix, i used some r615 last night, seems to be working great! once again awesome job.

Actually, I can't. If you'd bothered to read the second part: when I start wiixplorer from wiiflow, I cannot access the attached HDD. Only the attached SD card. I have to dump back to HBC then launch wiiXplorer in order to get access to all attached devices.
