Hacking Why isn't my Micro SDHC card I just bought working right?

I bought it at best buy - a 32gb Sandisk Ultra Class 10 MicroSDHC card. I bought it with the intent of using it with a DSTwo I haven't received yet from Realhotstuff, but I currently have a CycloDS Evo that I use often with an 8gb MicroSDHC card that seems no name brand with no issues.

Whenever I try and copy games and files onto it, or delete files, it says "Copying..." and hangs indefinitely. I left it on over night and it stayed copying, and considering it's an 8mb file, I don't think any more is going to be an issues. When I first got the card I didn't have a problem putting two games on it really quick and trying it with the CycloDS(games ran perfect), so I can't understand why it's doing this now. I've formatted it multiple times, as well.

Is it my card reader? It works perfect with my other card, just this one gives me the trouble. But since it's class 10 I figure it could be the reason it's giving me issues? The other one is class 4. Or is it a defective card that I should hike back to best buy and return? Or is it my computer? I can take a picture. The box says "Discovering items" indefinitely.

Certain readers don't like certain cards, so it could be that. Try the Panasonic SD Formatter.

I thought this could be it, but it didn't sound right. Great news if so, since the DSTwo comes with one anyway. I'll hold off on returning it, then.

I've formatted it with the SD formatter a few times, and itll occasionally say it's write protected, but just unplugging and replugging the USB reader in seems to fix it and allow me to format. I formatted with FULL(Erase) and Format Size Adjustment: ON, and it's successful, but says ("Flash Erase" operation has been cancelled because this device didn't support it).

That is weird... Try a different reader so you can be certain exactly what's the issue. If it's the card then you should try returning it.

The DSTwo arrived yesterday, I got a chance to set it up today and try it, and everyone works completely perfect. Even the GBA emulator seems to have perfect compatibility for the games I've tried minus maybe golden sun(which is still solid). No issues with the reader that came with the DSTwo at all.

Thank you for the responses and saving me a trip to return it at best buy!

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

Either that or their old games were unfinished aswell but we can't notice it

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol

I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol

So that version is semi rare
