Hardware Who else thinks like me? Is the 3ds beginning to die?

So far, we all talk about the new games that will release on the Switch
But I hear less and less speech about the 3ds, sadly
I'm thinking that the 3ds BEGINS to die
I'm not saying it's a dead console, or it will be tomorrow
But I'm feeling it's beginning to...
Who else thinks like me?
What do you think could revive the 3ds?

I'm talking of normal uses of 3ds
The wii u is still active homebrew wise
but it's a fact, wii u is dead

Maybe officially, but once New Super Mario Bros Next is completed, i am pretty sure kind of like with Newer, people will go back to it to play it. Also who knows, maybe one day we will get Newer Super Mario Bros 2. But yeah, officially it's slowly slowing down and coming to a halt. Wouldn't say dead tho.

Come Fall-ish 2019, the 3DS’ll probably be discontinued or at least no more new games. I’d say they’ll discontinue it by at most early 2020. But there’s still a little bit left, a few remakes and other games are coming.... slowly.

I think the 3DS is gonna last well into 2020 if it continues to be profitable for Nintendo considering Nintendo said they were gonna support in 2019 & beyond. I am not saying it will get big AAA games and I don't expect it to. We are probably going to get smaller indie titles and more of what we saw this year. I am personally excited to see what Nintendo still has up their sleeve for the system.

Nintendo says they want to make it coexist with the Switch, but is it really viable for them??? For what i'm looking it is on "Life support" if we talk about official games and so.
On the other hand, the 3ds platform did mature really well. I just got a New 2DS XL (not a fan of 3ds gimmick) for the 3ds games and older games. For the pricetag it is more viable than buying a PI3b and making a portable console. The only thing you lose against a portable console made out of a Pi3b is the PSX emulator. The dreamcast emulator is way outdated and not that good to being with...
