When are you planning to buy your PS4 & XO consoles?

Well, for me I'll wait until 2015/16 which is when I expect Microsoft & Sony to release their consoles in Slim models because I honestly don't really like the design of either one right now.

I'm a console gamer & collector and so I do give a flying fuck what my consoles look like.

P.S.: I tried out the PS4 controller (at GAME store) and it was really comfortable, pretty much comparable to the comfortability of an Xbox 360 controller (feels natural for my hands).

some might not be the best and just be HD updates, but, there still ok ps3 games

I already have a Wii U and an Xbox One (Early adopter here, got them both the day they came out)
I love My Xbox One, very happy with what's currently out and what is coming soon (TitanFall, Destiny, Elder scrolls online.)
My wii U is more or less a Decoration Piece at the moment.
I'm hoping with the releases of Smash Bros (AND I HOPE THEY FUCKING SAY SOMETHING ABOUT SHIN MEGAMI TENSEI X FIRE EMBLEM SOON) and whatnot it can generate a spark in me again, but as of now it's a very nice doorstop.

Three things

Hacks
A reasonable selection of second hand games I want to play is a thing.
First iterations of the hardware have their faults come to light and get fixed.

I am slightly flexible on the first, the others are a must though. If it turns out I should just get a controller and play on the PC instead then that.

At such a point in time finding certain games can be a tricky exercise, I guess doubly so around you. I know game collecting is basically now "I collect games I like" as they are so mass produced (a good thing).

Of course if you are picking up games during it and snapping up a console after the fact that could work.

That said I have been buying up PS3 and 360 games of late and it is far easier than it was post PS2.

Probably when I start caring about that blue ray thingy that's all the fad right now. But even then...I've bought me a 360 that's seen more play as a DVD player, and I barely watch DVD's.

Erm...how does "when steam machines completely fail to deliver what they set out to do...provided they fail to do that in the first place" sound?

Real answer: upon sufficient exclusives I give a shit about. Things like Ryse or Knack don't exactly make me wish I had yet another next-gen console.
