You can't. They are dumb. You will probably make them feel dumb when you answer them. They probably meant playing bluray files on their PC, but emulating....eh.

Tell them virtual drives can be mounted using programs like Alcohol or Daemon tools. That would be the closest thing to emulating the drive.

    I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
