Hi everyone, I would like to know if this process also does dump the save of the game... I don't want to lose my progress while installing my original games to emuNAND.

    Thank you.

I want to dump, convert and then install.

Use JKSM to backup the save from the cartridge and then inject it into the .cia once installed.

i would use svdt, since it lets me choose what to extract but if you are using cia then use JKSM

I want to extract the save from the original cartridge, which one do you recommend?

If your using the homebrew launcher: svdt
If you are using .cia (fbi, devmenu, title manager etc): JKSM

I just found out that there is an app in the eSHOP for transferring you save data to the downloadable version of my games!! :D

The real answer is to use JKSM for everything since there's a 3dsx version of it now. SVDT basically has no reason to exist anymore

I still wonder why people sometimes pretend JKSM does not exist. Some people are still completely oblivious to it's existence, and just keep ignoring it and keep telling people to use svdt / SDF.

Well, when you dump a 3DS game, you get a .3DS rom. That's what happens.
If you want to dump your saves, use JKSM to dump and inject the saves in the games. It's the tool that I use and it's amazing!

I'm not going to rib you for using EmuNAND to run your games (other than this ribbing because there's really no reason to anymore :P)
Don't forget that you can't install a ROM - they're for cartridges only. Nintendo-pressed or flashcart. If you want to install your game, you need to convert that ROM into a CIA.
JKSM decrypts your save dumps and can also inject decrypted saves to a cartridge, or install them to be used with installed CIA files. Don't worry about secure values, as JKSM automatically deletes them whenever you inject files.

Also, lots of Play Coins. :D

They're more than free to use and recommend what they like best. Svdt was out before when I was hoarding what eventually became JKSM. Forking svdt was also a consideration before my 3dsx code was added too.

Of course people can use whatever they want. It's just that your save manager knocks all the others out of the park =P

I used SVDT back when it was the best option, but that doesn't mean that I liked doing it.

Certainly, not arguing that at all, but if these people gave JKSM a try, I'm certain most of them would realize that it's superior. Just because something newer is better doesn't mean we're forgetting what came before it or showing disrespect towards anything else :)
