Hacking Weighing Options for 11.0 - Need Advice

Alright, so I am an idiot and upgraded my O3DS to 11.0.0-33U. Yay me.

I have reviewed all of the tools available for homebrew/firmware, but I don't presently own everything(anything) necessary. My options are as follows:

1) Purchase FreakyForms for $60 on Amazon and be happy with HomeBrew
2) Purchase Sky3DS/Gateway for X amount (80-90?) and have everything(?) without any work
3) Purchase FreakyForms and keep looking for someone in my area who has a hacked/sub 11.0 O3DS to use to downgrade/hack mine using Fieldrunner
4) Purchase FreakyForms and "Rent" (purchase and return) a used O3DS/2DS from GameStop with a usable/old firmware to hack which can then be used to hack my O3DS
5) Hardmod I can't solder

I believe those are my only options at this point being on 11.0 with no other systems/tools available, please correct me if I am missing something. The reason I chose FreakyForms is simply because it seems to work on all firmware with little effort and doesn't require any external items/systems.

That all being said, what would you all recommend? Is it worth the extra $20-30 for a flashcart to just "work", or should I drop the $60 on FreakyForms and invest in something that I can use to homebrew/hack all of my friend's systems as well? (They are idiots like me, so we are all in the same boat).

If option 3 doesn't work (trust me I am asking EVERYONE), is Option 4 even feasible? Will I be able to revert all the hacking I do on a "rented" system so that I can return it? And would I be able to complete the Fieldrunner hack/transfer/downgrade/restore process within 7 days to return it in time? Only issue I read about was someone having to wait a week to transfer their NNID from the hacked O3DS to the 11.0 O3DS because they wanted to keep all their saves. I am assuming if I don't care about my saves, I should be able to do it without the week lockout?

Thank you all for your time, sorry if a lot of this has been asked before but I am looking for specific help for my situation and any knowledge on gamestop returns if option 4 is my only route.

I decided to go with Option 8, buy a N3DS with the oldest Serial Number from Best Buy

Now I have a N3DS with 9.6.0-24U, time to figure out how all this homebrew stuff works!

Nope. With Sky, you only have pure piracy and can't even reasonably go online without private headers which cost money (which defeats the purpose of piracy), and Gateway doesn't work on 11.0.

I'd vote 3 or 4, or 5 or 6, being "hardmod" and "send to hardmodder".

Depends how far you hacked it.
If you installed a9lh, you need to restore a pre-a9lh NAND backup, remove FBI from H&S if you injected it, then format (since in your case, you don't care about losing data but you want a clean state).
If you only went as far as having an emuNAND with menuhax, just reformat SD card with emuNAND9 to remove emuNAND then format sysNAND.

Depends how far you hacked it.
If you installed a9lh, you need to restore a pre-a9lh NAND backup, remove FBI from H&S if you injected it, then format (since in your case, you don't care about losing data but you want a clean state).
If you only went as far as having an emuNAND with menuhax, just reformat SD card with emuNAND9 to remove emuNAND then format sysNAND.

Okay, I skimmed through Pailect's guides for a full hack and I do not see FBI injections mentioned, Do you know if FBI is required to be injected for me to complete the process in Pailect's guide and I'm just overlooking it? That's the guide I'll be following so if it isn't required then I should be good to go and it seems simple enough.

Also, Pailect's guide mentions EmuNAND and RedNAND being usable for the DSiWare Downgrade process with a "slight modification" but I may be overlooking what that is modification is. Could one of you help me pinpoint it so I can make sure I am aware of the proper process? And if that is the case, that I can use Emu/RedNAND, would you recommend that I only go to Part 3 of the hack guide to get Emu/Red on the GameStop system and go on to downgrade my main system from there? or should I just go all the way to a9lh?

60€ for a full harmod and 25/40 for a nand operation.
I would say to avoid hardmod hack since you can do number 4 and you won't lose access to your 3ds in the meantime

Okay, yeah I'll stick with 4. Once I have all the information on reverting the hacks, and once FreakyForms gets here, I'll go hunting at my local GameStops

I actually ran to the store and decided to just buy a N3DS lol. I got one with 9.6.0-24U, which should work with Browserhax without issue right? I'm all paranoid it's going to update on me and screw me over lol -_-

Give this guide a good read from step 1 to the end and follow it to the line.
In the end you should have a fully hacked 3ds.

His console is on 9.6 he does not need such thing to downgrade to 9.2
