Homebrew app Usb Loader GX not working for my partitoned hard drive (1tb fat32 800 gb WFS)

I partitoned my USB drive to make use of the vwii and wii u and I was able to get my wfs partiton to work on wii U mode but the fat32 partiton won't work on usb loader gx (or wiiflow) I have the right cios installed, using the latest version of usb loader gx v3.0-r1281 so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong?

on the wiki mine says issues but the list of apps working with it includes usb loader gx and the first time I used this drive formatted in only fat32 on wiiflow There weren't any issues at all but now trying the hard drive now on both usb loader gx and wiiflow just leaves me with nothing working

also connecting it to pc I had no issues with said usb drive

so it seems on non usb loader apps like YAWM bootmii edition seemed to work and neek2o for vwii doesnt work but it definitely does do something on the HDD as nand files appear at the root of the usb drive so I'm thinking it must be a cios issue
