Hacking USA (NTSC) VC on PAL Wii

I know there have been issues in the past runing NTSC(USA) VC on PAL consoles but was wondering with all the latest advances in soft modding if it is now possible or is it just a matter of trial and error using freethewads.

Any input on this would be most appreciated. I had a good search around before posting on this in the case its been covered lately but info seems slim and somewhat incomplete. I am sure alot of folks would be interested in what configurations work best(if at all)

I am currently running Softmii 0.95 on a PAL Wii

Just run Starfall and select the region free channels option.

Just tried it and it does not load once I have instaled the wad for mario bros 3 USA

Any other suggestions?

Run starfall? don't you mean preloader with those hacks? reboot the wii then hold reset until the preloader menu? have softmii installed with the starfall hacks but i don't see an option to run starfall.
