thanks a lot szyslak. I have been forcing myself to battle a little bit more over the past hour, and I think it's coming a little better. I just got my fusion pin from that one dude, and I'm starting to understand how to control the keypaths for shiki. This battle system is really deep. I think once I get the hang of it, it's gonna be really awesome.

No, I don't think an item or pin ever completely disappears from a shop..what can happen though is that you don't have access to a certain shop on a certain day. Shops like the 104 are usually available on every day, but some other ones like that drugstore thingy pop up quite rarely.


Evolution via Battle PP, Evolution via Mingle PP and Evolution via Shutdown PP are the various means to evolve your pins.
Battle PP is pretty self-explanatory, the pins you have in your current deck gain Battle PP after battles.
Shutdown PP is gained when you have your DS turned off - you gain 144 for the first 24 hours, and then it gets gradually less..so it pays off to at least turn on your DS once a day.
Mingle PP is gained when you're in Mingle mode, it's a feature you get somewhen during the first week I think. You'll see when you get it.
The catch though is that pins evolve by different means, and some don't evolve at all. One pin - let's call it pin A - will evolve to pin B through Battle PP, but will evolve to pin C through Shutdown PP, so as I said, it's different from pin to pin. Just try it out or look up GameFaqs or something if you wanna know more.

still i'm a perfectionist and i hate to waste my pins. i was always leveling them through battles mainly, not much shutdown pp and i havent tried mingle mode at all yet (because i don't have wifi atm)

maybe ill stop leveling and just try and beat the game now lol.

One Stroke, Vast Wealth from Dragon Couture is definitely a great pin, easy to hit with and scores some big hits. Kanesada from J of the M is also great, though you already got some good "melee" pins as far as I can see. Eyes Full of Light is also nice for those stationary or slow-moving enemies.

wow the community sure help me a lot. i want to ask again. i finally buy a sticker for neku which says "Tecnical Exp". can some1 tell me how to make neku attack in mid air. sometimes my neku did fly a little (using barrier) and it did says "you got tech exp" in yellow color, but honestly i don't know what the heck happen there....

Just put your game in Mingle Mode for a while (overnight even) and you will encounter "Aliens" that give you 100 MPP each. You don't need to be connected to anything. It's just a random occurrence.

I thought that sticker gave you a bonus if you hit the enemies while they were knocked in the air. I didn't think it mattered if Neku was in the air. I'll have to go back and check tonight.

Yeah, I checked on it last night. You have to knock the enemy in the air and hit them 10 times while they are still in the air. Use some kind of slasher with a knockback, then hit them while they are airborne with some force rounds (like Sexy Beam). I honestly haven't found it to be all that useful, but it is a cool little feature (if you want to use the Scarletite on it).


@9-Voltage: If you want a great pin for that battle, you should go back a few screens to the bus terminal (not sure if you still can

).

On that day at the bus terminal, I think you can get a large noise symbol that is a NeoClassical Drake. If you fight it on easy at a low level, it will drop Thunder Rook. Use SDPP to evolve Thunder Rook into Lightning Rook, and you'll have one of the best attacking pins in the game. If I'm not mistaken, that's around the earliest time you can get Lightning Rook. Add in Energy Factor, and you can get more uses out of Lightning Rook.

ugh, stuck on Joshua day 5. trying to get to the area where mr.h's shop is and this reaper made me fight all these crab noises and he gets to choose my pins. I have no idea waht the pins do, any help would be appreciated

Well, you could always just run with Neku, and fight solely with Joshua. That's what I did. i don't think any of those pins are offensive. Btw its a one time deal, you won't have to do this anymore later in the game.

found out at the twewy wiki that one u gotta blow into the mic, the other u gotta yell at the mic and they attack.
i felt kinda stupid yelling at my ds

I have a.. strange problem to say the least. Whenever I start a battle my pins are offset from the usual spots. They're aren't the ______ as the _____ group, so there's no reason for them to be like that. The fourth pin starts off in the center of the screen. The third's in between the 2nd and 5th spot.
