I don't think many players care though. As long as they can play the game, it doesn't matter much why the translators/group work on it.
It's pretty rare for otome games to get translated, so anyone attempting to work on them should at least get some moral support.
It's more depressing to me to see discouraging comments like this, but anyway, people have different opinions.
Oh, no, a lot of players DO indeed care who translates the game. They may want to play it, but at what sacrifice? Why do you think they care about who dumps what game? Because they care. Just take a look at translation forums or even here. I don't see Zarcon's comment as discouraging, because it's true. It's not just otome games that hardly get translated, it's
any DS game. PC otome games get translated all the time and that's not even me joking. With the DS however, hardly any project sees a completion. It's rare. You shouldn't translate a game, simply to boost your ego, you should translate for the fans and she's already stated that she isn't doing it for the fans. It's been almost(If not already) year already and she still hasn't shown any progress besides the prologue. Leading people on just to keep your fame doesn't make you a translator and you shouldn't ask for donations if you won't bother putting time into the project.
But we should really stop talking about this. A page before all of this bahamut mentioned us not posting unless it's to submit a project.
QUOTE(bahamut920 @ Jan 16 2011, 07:25 PM) I would like to request that if you do not have a translation project, do not post in this thread.
