Alright sounds like a good idea, ill take a shot with it.Ganoran said:If you've got a DS with a slot 1 flash card, you can use GBA Backup Tool, available in the downloads section.
I haven't actually tried restoring a save to a cart from a file, but it does a great job backing up the save file from the cart and it can also backup the ROM itself.
Give it a try and see how it works. I'm pretty sure the latest version is the 0.21, but I haven't checked to see if there's been an update in a while.
Ah, well I can flash over the save file which was my original goal so thats satisfying enough for me, although it would be cool to patch my firered to play shiny goldDanTheManMS said:You can backup the rom to your computer, but you can't overwrite a game cartridge with another game or anything. It's called Read-Only Memory for a reason.
Could you apply an IPS patch to a cart, perhaps? :3 Sorry if I'm derailing the threadDanTheManMS said:You can backup the rom to your computer, but you can't overwrite a game cartridge with another game or anything. It's called Read-Only Memory for a reason.
