    - official title is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Smash Up
    - dark, gritty graphics
    - some real-world inspired locations: Manhattan skyline, unspecified jungle arena, motel roof
    - defeat opponents by depleting health meter or via stage knock-out, much like the Smash Bros. series
    - some context-sensitive moves
    - no motion-controlled attacks, but there will be motion controls for other aspects
    - levels change as you fight, start in one location and end up in another
    - pizza restores health
    - Peter Laird (TMNT co-creator) is writing the single-player story
    - Mirage (comic publisher) is filling out the roster
    - Splinter and the Turtles are the only confirmed fighters thus far
    - 4-player online reconfirmed

So.. it's Super Smash Bros with the Ninja Turtles and they're not even trying to hide that.. lol

If the game is good.. I'm fine with that [IMG]

Im glad its a Smash rip off... although I never got TOO into the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Hopefully the game will be good enough for me to over look it.

If it sticks to the Smash formula, it will be average in the worst case scenario.

Regardless of how you may feel about the actual brand, or that the title is a ripoff/homage, Ninja Turtles games have a history of being fun at the very least. I look forward to it. [IMG]

Yeah, like 15 years ago. I keep hoping the next one will be good, so fingers crossed for this one as well.

For those who did not know. The makers of this game is from Team Ninja (Not sure if the old team or the tecmos new one) and Smash Bro Melee's Team.

Apparently this is true, and, in accordance with that statement, consider me officially sold. A Smash Bros-style TMNT game by the writer and publisher of the official comic line, published by Ubisoft, and developed by members of Team Ninja and Game Arts? That's insane.

Smash Bros. Melee's team..? Now I'm really interested. I prefer Melee over Brawl any day. (please let there be hidden advance techniques) [IMG]

    "some context-sensitive moves"
Ftilt, Dtilt, Utilt, lightshield, shield, crouch canceling, short hop (only examples from Melee).. Man, this makes me want more details about this game!!!
