Eipok, thanks for posting this set-up/guide. I'm very interested in doing the same thing. VC injects do not work on my system, so I would have to rely on a forwarding set-up like yours.
I've read before that SD cards are not designed for long-term use, with the constant read/write usage that games require. How are yours holding up after 9 months?
Have you figured out a way to include both GC and Wii ISOs on the same USB/SD Port 1?
Hello swankerme,
Thanks for your post!
Regarding your question, I actually don't think this would be an issue... I have played a lot of hours, and the performance and speed is still the same. I wouldn't fear anything about it.
Regarding including both GC and WII ISOs in the same place, it is not possible if we want to have the feature of playing GC games with the Wii U Gamepad through Nintendont. The ISOSs should be there, otherwise, as I want to have another USB for Wii U games, when the Nintendont tries to access to the 2nd USB where the Wii ISOS are, it throws an exception.
Hope it helps!
Regards
I have not run into this exception, but also, I do not play GCN games on the gamepad. So - if someone did not care for playing on their Gamepad - they could theoretically ditch the Port 2 USB/SD hard drive on run solely off SD?
Did you have any difficulties getting USB Loader GX to recognize your titles on your Port 1 drive? I have tried three different methods - a 32 GB SanDisk flash drive, a 64 GB SanDisk microSD adapted through USB, and another off-brand 32 GB flash drive. No matter which I chose, USB Loader GX would not recognize them. As such, I am using WiiFlow Lite, running only off the SD card, and it works flawlessly.
Yesterday both and a new update of snes9xGX are released. They are compatible now with Wii U Gamepad like the readme.txt says but I cant inject them even like a channel forwarder. Did you had success? What about vbagx and fceugx? are as well updated with WiiU Gamepad Support?

Another question is: Did you tried the new snes9xRX fork?

Hello all!
After I have been testing and testing and testing many different combinations and devices, I have got to the Final WiiU Configuration.
It is not the cheapest, but at least, the most comfortable and usable.
Yes, the GC icon is a forwarder. I have it for an option only to figure out later, as it seems to not work with USB drives. I am also using USB loader GX for both Wii & GC, as I have my original FAT32 Wii drive. The OP eipok has shared this forwarder in his SD card link on the first page.Brickmaker,
Nice work! The icon for GC on your WiiU home page - is that a forwarder for Nintendont? I personally prefer choosing GC games in USB Loader GX to see the box art.

Hello Eipok, I will attach a link to the Loadiine GX2 forwarder (if I can on newbie!) to this message later today. I have tested it working with both e-store and normal Wii U titles (only a few at this stage). The installation is like a PC game hack in that you install the program, then replace the main file once installed. The forwarder version of this won't exit from it without loading a game and then exiting that game. I was thinking that a hack workaround for this minor issue would be a loadiine title named "EXIT" which goes back to the WiiU menu. I just liked the shortened step of not having to use HBL.
Cheers!
It was from gbatemp! https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-loadiine-forwarder-channel.455939/
I just read that I'm not supposed to share links yet, hopefully that doesn't include internal gbatemp links...
Hi Eipok,
Sorry by advance for my poor english...
I've just bought a Wii-U in used condition for my daughter.
I begin to have a look to all wii-u hacks and it seems that your post is one of the most recent one.
I've quite good knowledges in systems, hardware and software (i'm a developper with 20 years of experience)
Here, what i'd like to achieve :
- play wii-u Games (that i plan to install in USB Up Slot)
- play wii Games (USB Down Slot))
- play GameCube games (so on SDcard)
- play MAME32 roms
Do all this games are playable on the Wii-U gamePad ?
I have compressed roms for Dolphin (Wii & GameCube), can i just uncompressed them and use them ?
For now, i haven't found any post/tutorial on how to install MAME.
I suppose i have to use retroArch ? Do you know a guide for that ?
I suppose roms must be installed on the SDCard ?
Thanks by advance.
retroarch is buggy mess... anytime my girlfriend tries to play anything it inevitably corrupts the cfg file and i need to mount my sd card and delete the cfg file. and re setup everything. retroarch is definitely not more user friendly than the gx emulators. on paper retroarch seems better, but in practice, its not user friendly because of the way you need to use it. (i setup playlists properly, its just how often the cfg file corrupts based on what core you load
