The Nintendo Switch is driving the hacking community INSANE, but there are still people out there that never hacked their Nintendo Wii. This guide is for them, fully explaining how to mod your Wii, recommended applications and pimping your hacked Wii to the MAX.

(I get that some people who use wii.guide are complaining (including Larsenv a little bit), but I was bored and I'd like to assist people here. So if you complain, I'm sorry, and...)
    (You're welcome.)

    What you need:

Getting started, Installing The Homebrew Channel (Part 1 of 2)
A proper brick protection (Part 2 of 2)
    Installing an application
    Installing Priiloader
    Install a WAD Manager
    Play WAD's off an SD-card
    Connect to Wiimmfi
    Connect to RiiConnect24

    Bonusses:
    Recommended Homebrew Applications
    Recommended Homebrew Games
    Terms and words

I hoped this helped out either seniors or professional Wii-Brewers!
Make sure to share this post with anyone that may finds this interresting!

Good guide, rev 2 Wiis still have value for their superior video quality on original hardware.

Thanks! Also, I'd love to make a tutorial for USB Loader GX, but I can't because of 2 reasons:
    1. I was never able to run a backup loader, and yes, I did patch it with that specialized tool that you must use before using a loader, but I think I don't have the right USB-anquipment.
    2. That special tool....
    OOF.
PATCH 1 IOS INCORRECTLY AND IT'S OVER.

    1. If you're not using v9/beta53-alt d2x cIOSes, then the only working port for loading games is the left one.
    2. Make sure your games are at usb:/wbfs/ unless you changed it in your USB loader's settings.
    3. USB flash drives are iffy, some work, some don't. Mine's work fine but your's may not. It's usually recommended to get a HDD.

I only have 1 HDD from my dad, I store all my USB & PC backups on there. There is not much space left, and when I go online and Google for another HDD, they go above $50.

13 people currently viewing this thread? OOF. The download section is now being worked out. Be patient!

The $50 forking price might be worth able to play a lot of Wii games, especially since most Wii games are usually under 3GB unless it's on a DL DVD disc (like Brawl).

I don't mean to be rude, but is it really necessary to have another Wii modding guide? There's hundreds of them and they come in many flavors.

    1. Not sure why it specifically says "for seniors" in the title.
    2. Not trying to promote myself but I have https://wii.guide/
    3. In the "WAD Manager" section you're missing a word, it says "I [promote] piracy in any way, so I will not be hosting or sending you to links that can give you free games."
    4. Waninkoko's WAD Manager is really old (and I don't know why people still use it), I recommend https://github.com/RiiConnect24/Wii-Mod-Lite/releases

    He probably forgot the "don't".

@Trash_Bandatcoot Also, I would suggest Wii Mod Lite over Waninkoko's WAD Manager.

    1. For the ones that really don't know how to mod a Wii. Yes, there are dozons of video's out there, but some may prefer a text tutorial, and it's not only how to install but also some recommended apps.
    2. Yes, I know that site is a thing.
    3. I'VE BEEN MAILING YOU AS 'LUUK VAN HEUGTEN' VERY OFTEN, but now I found you on GBAtemp, you can easily help me solve my RiiConnect24 issues!
Can we start a conversation when I'm done typing this out?
    Thanks!

@Trash_Bandatcoot You can easily message Larsenv on Discord, especially in the RC24 Discord server. Just ping him in #support and there's a good chance he'll help you.

Also, @Larsenv , I thought while editing people will get mistaken the joke,
    I mostly promote piracy,
so I added the text "do not" but then crossed.

I know, but it splits it up and I was never able to merge them.
