For the different theme folders, if they are manually chosen can i rename them from theme01 theme02 etc to whatever I like and still be visible on the r4? I don't know because I'm still waiting for my r4 to arrive but I'm just setting up the root folder for now

Sorry guys, been really busy for the past 3 weeks after exams sorting out various real life stuff so I haven't had time to update anything at gbatemp. I'll try and update this FAQ by the end of the weekend. Heck I've even missed an R4 firmware out since the new one on the frontpage!

Thanks for the great thread. Especially the savegame converter tip. Saved me hours of playing the same stuff again after switching from N-Card to R4.

Maybe you want to update it with the following informations:

Savegame Converter SaveConv is now available in version 0.3. They fixed some bugs, added a nicer GUI and it now auto-downloads and auto-installs the .NET Framework if needed (for example on old Win2k machines like mine).

Further on, the hint that if you want to convert a savegame from an N-Card to another system, you should use the "From DSLinker"-Option. Noobs like me don't know that an N-Card is an DSLinker clone.

The latest shells are black.
I believe I saw an option to buy a white R4 (for like a buck extra) at some store this week.

Mill around the usual suspects if you care about the color.

You can buy a black replacement shell at dealextreme.com They also sell white replacement shells. I just ordered an R4 from there and mine came with a black shell.

A little note about v1.09 (not sure about earlier versions).

Moonshell will play MP3s with the lid closed, but WILL pause if you press L >_<

Yes , R4 has two colors , black and white . i like black , it is suit for my NDS colur

About the soft-reset thingy you can enable with R. Is there any way to specify which games you want to do a soft-reset and which you don't or it's a global setting and you can't configure it that way?

PS. Mine is gray too. That was a good thing actually because i have a black ds lite. But it's a M3DS Simply not a R4 DS. Oh yeah i know it's a huge difference!

anyways no sadly you cant, you can't configure it either off or on.

Did your R4DS's come with two game carts? A white and a Grey?

I saw a video on youtube where the little rubber case thing had two r4ds's in.

Why, when i press select, does the screen change between 8 themes, instead of 17? I have 17 themes but can only shoose between these 8. Am i doing it wrong?

You can only have 12 themes, anymore and it won't work. pressing select will flick through those 12 themes.

Oh, its a thing on the IGN boards. Its like, a Point you can give any other user if you like them, or they did you a favor. When a person gets a certain number of WUL's (Which, by the way, stand for watched user list) , E.g 50, 100, 200.

OK, so i just deleted 5 of the themes from my R4DS so i only have twelve on there now. So i turn it on, and press select, It is doing the exact same thing. Its just changing from 1 - 8, not 1 - 12 like it should. Its the custom themes that arent working. HELP!
