I reckon that more than half of the memory will be used for the animations.... I doubt the story can be so long.... But it could be possible... Since there are actually two worlds and also two times the characters.

Well I will cite a rather media rich AND long DS game here for an example- Suikoden Tierkreis. They made that on a 256MB cartridge. It was full of full motion video, almost fully voiced during the story, had really gorgeous 2D backgrounds, AND it was quite long. In fact, I never finished it, despite having clocked probably more than 35 hours (casual play) in the game.

This game has far more voice acting, and orchestrated music (as opposed to Suikoden's midi). And the animation and worlds are more detailed. But you have to realize just HOW much bigger 512MB is from just 256MB. Every time they make a bigger DS card, they DOUBLE the size. Going from 128MB to 256MB felt like a huge jump in media capacity, but think how much of a jump doubling 256MB is. They have a lot of potential. AND an all star development team. Excuse me for being overly optimistic, but I expect them to make a good, gorgeous, and long game.

(and besides the tech details on THIS game, this also opens up a new level of cartridge space. I look forward to not only this game, but hopefully games that will use this size as well. DS games can ALMOST hold as much space as a CD disc now. Impressive I must say)

Level 5 has always been very successful with their games... Layton... DQ for PS2.. DQIX for DS... And that forgot what it was called... pirate's galaxy or something liddat game for PS2.

Fun, I wouldn't know, but they have plenty of commercial success to continue making plenty of good games liek this for the DS.

Though with their releasing of 512MB... I think lots of people are going to push the game makers for games with more content. Maybe Pokemanz? More detail for every pokemon or something like that. Either way, its as exciting as A.S.H having 256MB.
