Do GBA games make your nono parts happy?

New EOS 1.13 is out now, and it solves the SD card reading speed problems, but save states problem persists.

Is everyone having trouble running Advance Wars 2, or is it just me? It crashes as soon as it loads for me. I've tried two different dumps.

The hacked AW2 War Room Challenge runs just fine though. :/

That's strange to hear that about the save states. I just know with mine I never had such an issue.
  • When did you buy yours?
  • From what site/store?
  • Did you update both the firmware and the EOS?
  • What build of TempGBA are you running?

It's everyone running EOS 1.12 or 1.13 as far as I know. Several people have this problem.

What are you running?

I just updated to EOS 1.13 since I saw the posting saying it was now up. Also had my DStwo's firmware on 1.25 on my DSi XL. That said, interally the EOS still reports as 1.11

Hadn't had any problems here, so not that worried.

The save state menu bug only affects the new batch of cards. The Save State Menu works on all versions of the EOS on old DSTwo's including EOS v1.12 and v1.13, but will crash on the 2 available EOS versions (v1.12 and v1.13) for the new batch of DSTwo's. The TempGBA version doesn't matter. It does it on them all. I only tested the latest version of CATSFC.

Maybe it's not so much the new batch of cards as much as it is cards that have had lower than 1.12 and updated to 1.12 or 1.13 from that. Maybe there was something on the older EOS versions not included in these newer versions that is necessary for TempGBA to access save states from the menu (since it still works AFAIK using hotkeys). But I really don't have any idea what I'm babbling about.

I imagine this is something fixable, but it's a matter of whether SC Team cares to do it. Or if ultimately it needs to be fixed in the emulator itself, and whether or not those programmers are even involved anymore.

I'd imagine there's some kind of minor hardware difference in the new cards, otherwise that small firmware patch would work on older DSTwo's. 'Hopefully' we'll get a software fix at some point.

Are you guys running the latest DSTWO firmware?
It's a problem with the latest batch of DSTwo carts. There was another major speed issue with reading from the microSD card, and although that was resolved through a new EOS update, the save state issues in this and I think the SNES emulator are still present. Either the Supercard team will fix it, or they'll just be forever broken on the latest batch of carts.

I know, that's why I edited my post as a read this news after I posted.
After I posted I saw I was not on the final page. Then started reading and figured, "Oh my post is irrelevant now.".

Hey,

I was wondering if someone could help me with a problem.. I've bought my DStwo about a week ago or something like that and TempGBA has been giving me a hard time. Whenever I play a game with TempGBA sometimes my buttons, that I press, get stuck (2 steps instead of 1, when using D-pad & stick) or the input doesn't get registered at all. (Games I've tried so far: Pokemon Ruby, Megaman Battle Network 1 & 2.) I've tried using NDSGBA, I don't have the problem with that emulator, but it's outdated as frick, so I don't really want to use NDSGBA. Did anyone ever had this issue & resolved it?

Using:
- DStwo latest firmware (EOS 1.14)
- TempGBA 1.45
- 3DS XL Firmware 9.9.0-26E
- Megaman Battle Network (E)(Rocket)
- Megaman Battle Network 2 (E)(Independent)
- Pokemon Ruby (U)(Mugs)

I've tried:
- Re-downloading TempGBA
- Raising CPU Frequency
- Different Rom
- Earlier TempGBA version (Beta 14)

I would appreciate it if someone could help me with this ASAP.
