I just worked it out, all in all, the patch seems to be 93% complete. (1395÷15). Unfortunately, the proofreading will take a long time, so I don't expect the beta testing to start for another couple of weeks, then perhaps another month or so before the patch is out. Well, 6 weeks isn't too bad an estimate is it?
As for the pages? 80 is pretty optimistic. This thread isn't posted in much, and only when new status updates are released... Soooo.... I would go for 70-75 pages BEFORE it is released. As soon as it is released, there will probably be 10 or 15 pages of thanks

You failed to take into account the difficulty of each section. I would estimate that it's farther along than that.

This is purely stats wise, not working on any of the difficulties. I did however, forget the influx that will happen when the CLOSED Beta will begin, so it may end up being between 75 and 78.

My guess is 83, why, because I felt like it.

A question related to the game, are there any benefits of spamming ougis/artes as much as possible ?
I know that in Phantasia it help you learn combos but in other games I didn't notice any necessity to spam skills, maybe for titles but that didn't matter to me.

I remember checking in on this project way back when, and I'm excited to see the results! You guys should definately contact spikey to announce it when it's finished on the GBATempcast!

I'm assuming the beta testing phase will start anyday now? This is going to be so awesome :3

Not anyday, there is still proofreading and editing or whatever to finish, i give it another month or so for beta testing to start, then a month after that for it to be released.

It definitely does not take a month for 5% hacking and 50% proofreading...

I'm not sure if you're saying that a month is an overestimation or an underestimation, but the percentages may be deceptive. Keep in mind that Tales of Innocence is a roleplaying game, which means that it probably has at least as much text as the typical 300-page fiction novel, if not more, considering all the skits, sidequests, the main story, alternate dialogue depending on whom you have in your active party, etc. The rest of the proofreading alone could take that month. And as for hacking, I assume that the game being "95% hacked" means that most if not all of the major stuff is done, but if they run up against a difficult problem that could easily eat a few weeks or a month. Keep in mind that this project was announced in 2008; it's taken the better part of two years to get this far. Also, consider that the people working on this may have other demands on their time, and probably cannot work on ToI every minute of every day. The best thing you can do is be patient, and allow throughhim and Gemini to finish their work at their own pace.
