Is there any good up-to-date Youtube video series like Modded Warfare has for Jailbreaking PS4s? Buying an unpatched Switch some time next month and would like to get a head start before buying the console.
That would be impossible because any YouTube video is outdated the moment they are published and all of the ones currently out aren't made by any trusted developers. You should only ever follow text-based guides as they have better longevity and are actually made by trusted members of the community. This guide is the same one I recommend to all new users. Is there any good up-to-date Youtube video series like Modded Warfare has for Jailbreaking PS4s? Videos are notoriously out of date.Is there any good up-to-date Youtube video series like Modded Warfare has for Jailbreaking PS4s? Buying an unpatched Switch some time next month and would like to get a head start before buying the console.
Technically all consoles can be hacked but not all exploits will work on every model. Unpatched Erista units can be hacked with every exploit including the most useful one being Fusee Gelee. Patched units are named as such because Fusee Gelee is patched on those devices but they can be hacked with Deja Vu but that requires a firmware of 4.1. Every other Switch including Mariko (red box), the Lite, and the OLED unit can only be hacked with the ever elusive SX Core (SX Lite for Switch Lite) which requires soldering. To further complicate matters, unpatched units were some of the first consoles to be produced but Nintendo has since stopped manufacturing those in favor of patched versions. If you don't want to install a modchip, getting an unpatched console is your best bet. The easiest way to determine that is by checking the serial number. This thread has a list of patched and unpatched serial numbers.Hi everyone, newbie here, about to buy his very first Switch... so I wonder, is any version hackable? What are the things I have to watch out for that would make it a bad purchase?
Thanks!

i tried to hold the power button for a couple time but it doesnt do anything
hey binkinator thanks for your help. it workedHold the power down for let’s say 20 seconds and then tap power button quickly to turn it back on.
It should boot normally unless you turned on AutoRCM (in which case you should be able to see it on your PC and launch TegraRCM to boot the payload of your choice.)
several threads on troubleshooting issues getting into RCM mode.

For “local update” I am talking about this feature: https://en-americas-support.nintend.../how-to-update-software-data-via-a-local-useron the unhacked patched switch, you cant pick what update to update to. it will update to the latest version available, which is 1.1.3? you can transfer the save from hacked switch to the unhacked one assuming both switch have the same profile. you'd use save transfer option in settings.
yes you can install a specific game version on emunand. just insert cart, then pirate w.e update you want and install it.
and thisrequires you to be connected to nintendo servers for that transfer. you would of installed a pirated nsp to your emunand(pirated updates are nsps too). That's a great way to get your switch banned. If I could do so, would the following work?
Install SP 1.1.1 on S1 emuNAND
Use 'local update' feature to install 1.1.1 on S2 without hacking S2
Use 'transfer save' feature on S1 sysNAND to transfer save to S2
This one is pretty solid:I haven't been around for a while, but I was wondering if someone could point me to the latest switch hacking guide please. We had Plailect for 3DS but I couldn't find a guide of his for the switch. TIA!
Thanks. I've seen that one it doesn't really explain much when coming from nowhere Lol. I can't find the RCM dongle process, just how to load the payloads afterwards.
Which dongle do you have? Thanks. I've seen that one it doesn't really explain much when coming from nowhere Lol. I can't find the RCM dongle process, just how to load the payloads afterwards.
I don't have any, that's what I'm saying Lol. I left the hacking scene at the EOL of the 3DS. Never hacked a switch. So I don't even know what dongle I'd need. I know I can hack my switch regarding the serial number. I just never got around to it.Which dongle do you have?
sounds like Erista…we’ll go with that.I don't have any, that's what I'm saying Lol. I left the hacking scene at the EOL of the 3DS. Never hacked a switch. So I don't even know what dongle I'd need. I know I can hack my switch regarding the serial number. I just never got around to it.
Yeah I read all that. I don't know what "jig" to get or what it's supposed to look like etc. That's what I'm trying to say. This guide assumes a lot Lol. This is not like the very user friendly plailect of the 3DS days haha. Thanks anyway.sounds like Erista…we’ll go with that.
If you have a USB A to USB C cable and a windows box you can use TecraRCM app.
Step 1.
Step 2.
- You can either buy a jig off eBay, Amazon, Aliexpress, Wish or make your own with tinfoil.
- The tinfoil method is not recommended as it could damage the pins in your rail.
- If you have AutoRCM on then you can skip this step.
- Place the jig inside of the right railing.
- Hold the VOL + button and press the power button (⏻).
- Your Switch display will be black, do not panic, this is normal.
- Pick the type of payload injector you want to use:
- TegraRcmGUI (Windows)
- Web Fusée Launcher (Mac & Linux)
- Rekado (Android)
- NXBoot (iOS , requires a jailbroken device)
- Portable Payload Injector (Can be bought on Amazon, eBay, Aliexpress, and Wish)
