Hey guys. I'm a complete noob to the switch literally just got it over the weekend. The main thing I want to do is move my save to the online botw save editor. Is there any guide or anything I can read online maybe a YouTube video to watch or something that can catch me up to all the terminology and software etc etc and maybe help me get started

Any CFW is capable of doing that and they all use the same exploit so its just a matter of preference which one you want to use for save editing. Currently there are 3 main CFW for the Switch of which I will list the available guides below:
  1. https://reinx.guide/
  2. https://sx.xecuter.com/
  3. https://guide.sdsetup.com/

Im making NSP files out of XCI, but sometimes I get just 1 NSP file and sometimes a few. Why is this happening and does it make it a difference which one I install first?

Kind regards

If the game has an update or DLC packed in the .XCI file, then each of those will be outputted as its own .NSP file. Also order doesn't make a huge difference but the order is generally game -> update -> DLC.

From my experience it means the installation was not successful. Usually it happens to me when the game install is stuck or drops to 0mbs transfer speed. If it's nsp file try using fluffy with command prompt tin foil.

Thanks for the guides, it seems sdsetup has been down, any idea what is going on? I too was looking to modify one of my save files but it seems like these CFW are not compatible with the latest firmware update of 7.0.1 right?

If my switch gets banned for being online and using the Homebrew app store well will my online account be banned as well?

The site is working from my end.

Nintendo Accounts are rarely banned. Also bans don't affect homebrew usage in the slightest; it only affects Nintendo-related services. For further questions, you can refer to the banning thread: https://gbatemp.net/threads/nintendo-switch-banning-hub-warning.508710/

This has problem with firmware. Thanks for help. =)

Hi, one question. I downloaded and installed 1.06 version of NBA 2k19, the latest, but rosters are still like the preseason one..How can I check is the version is indeed 1.06 or whatever?

Ok so I didn't realize I could even mod it until today so I had updated to version 7.0.1 so which of those methods work?

There is only CFW that currently supports firmwares 7.X and that is Atmosphere so follow the sdsetup guide I linked earlier.

I play directly from xci files.....

Split them. Just Google any .XCI splitter program. I have no experience with these as I don't have an SX OS license so not sure which ones are good or bad.

Use a USB thumb drive formatted exFAT.
Copy the large xci file to it.
Plug the USB thumb drive into the Switch Dock on the left side.\
With SX OS, install to MicroSD, worked for me. I'm on OFW4.1 using SX OS 2.5.3
