Why does Tinfoil describe Atmosphere as "Worst CFW", and Hekate as "Really bad bootloader"? Are these self-descriptions from Atmosphere and Hekate or has the writer of Tinfoil hardcoded their opinion? Are there better CFW and bootloaders?

You should use stock not sysmmc if you want to play online and no nsp installed on sysnand ofw.
hey thanks but if i use stock for my cartridge games, i wouldnt be able to edit my save files using JKSV.

just asking to be sure cause i installed tinfoil in emummc but not in sysmmc however its in the hbmenu in sysmmc too but if i dont launch it am i still able to connect to internet and play my cartridge games online ?

Because the Tinfoil programmer is a drama queen trying to create bad ambient on the scene and trying to get economic earnings.

I do recommend you to not use that malware (and yes tinfoil is a malware because make changes on your NAND with letting you to know) and instead use another installer like TinWoo or similar.

If any nsp shows up on your sysmmc then you are going to get flagged for a ban, as for 90dns/exosphere isn't recommended if you want to play online.

Nop, once you «dirt» a NAND there is no way to connect that NAND to the Big Ninja servers without being banned.

Only if you have a CLEAND NAND backup at the exactly moment after the last connection to the net you can connect back to the net.

Can't use tinfoil as it create a forwarder on the homescreen, if you go online with it you will get banned.

The main menu of the console is Called HOS, there you see the recent used/installed applications (forwarders are special applications which load a NRO directly)

HBMenu is called HomeBrew Menu or Homebrew Loader, you can start it taking over an application by pressing the [R] button while loading any application or by executing the menu applet, on this case the HBMenu loads on applet mode (reduced memory and resources)

The HBMenu show you all the NROs on the SDMC:/switch folder and subfolders.

If you haven't run any HBMenu application which modify the NAND you are safe to connect to net and not beeing banned.

in order to avoid bans, read the thread https://gbatemp.net/threads/nintendo-switch-banning-hub-warning.508710/

im sorry , i am quite noob about NAND modifying application in HBmenu. The only application i am running in sysmmc is ftp pro, jksv and goldleaf.

i only wanted to edit my save files using jksv in sysmmc and play my cartridge games online in sysmmc

also can i remove the tinfoil installer in sysmmc ? i think i have to go into switch folder and remove that .nro ?

On normal use of that Homebrew there is no problem to connect online. unless you use JKSV to cheat. but if you read your SYSNand saves edited and RESTORE/USE them only on Emunand there is no problem at all.

Tinfoil on SYSNand is a problem only if modify your SysNand, by example the NRO version which install a HOS forwarder or you install a game on SYSNand, on those cases your SYSNand become «Dirty» and if you connect it to Ninja Servers you probably will be banned.

Im trying to get all correct.
Sysnand is sysmmc ?

i only install tinfoil on emummc, did not install it or a forwarder in sysmmc as of now.
If i remove the tinfoil installer from my sd card, will it affect the tinfoil in emummc?

I updated my emuMMC to 19.0.1 but for some reason it doesn't wake up if I put it to sleep anymore. I have to force restart my Switch every time. Is there a way to downgrade?

Does Mario jamboree need a certain fw.? To run? It's load up but crashes on selecting 1/2 players ?-and need to power off console

try updating sys-clk if you have it since older versions of sys-clk on fw 19 have issues with this

So I changed my SD card from exfat to fat32, and one of my cartridges [others do work] no longer works on emuMMC [sysMMC with atmosphere works fine though]. It says "The software was closed because an error occurred." everytime I open it. I have a mod for it, which I tried deleting, but that didn't fix anything.
