    Got a huge problem:

I recently tried to get usb install working using fluffy. Folowed all the steps mentioned.
    https://github.com/fourminute/Fluffy

Now whenever I open goldlead or tinfoil when I'm connected with usb to my pc and after that try to close tinfoil or goldleaf with the home button the switch crashes.

I have no idea if this has something to do with the zadig driver or if I'm doing something wrong.

Everything is fine when I just install from sd card not connected to pc with usb.

It does not even matter if I open fluffy. JSo even if it's closed just being connected to my pc with usb and closing tinfoil or goldleaf causes a crash. I'm not doing anything in goldleaf or tinfoil. Just opening and closing.

I mean I don't have a banned switch but can't you simply delete the user in the system settings?

Unfortunately not, the accounts are linked so I need internet access to unlink them before I can delete them.

I just got a Switch which I updated to FW 7.1 with the latest version of Atmosphere and games install fine with Tinfoil. However, whenever I try to run them it doesn't let me and prompts to connect to internet. I'm in airplane mode, but I think that this console may have been banned before I got it (I didn't buy it new). How can I disable/overcome the "Connect to internet" prompt which prevents me from launching any NSPs?

How safe is autorcm in terms of a ban risk and brick? I'm going to create an emunand and was wondering if using autorcm will impact anything on my sysnand if I ever use it and want to go online.

I also remember some concerns about autorcm "bricking" the console if the battery dies while its in use. Is this still a thing?

Veery noobish: I have a patched XAJ7005XX device with 8.0.1

Now, is it a definitive no to homebrew via software now and in the future? What are my options now?

No option for you at the moment, as patched unit doesn't get access to pushing a payload in RCM Mode, and the access to Deja Vu exploit so you are stuck at the moment until they come out with something for patched unit.

Is SX Installer or Gold Leaf better for installing NSPs on a fat32 SD?

Hey, so i followed a guide that neglected to tell me to create a nand backup before doing anything. And it’s too late cause I’ve already created emunand and installed nsps and such. I’m just curious if anyone has any tips on what I should do, if anything. Thanks for all your help in advance

I pretty much forgot about homebrew for a while, cause last time I checked it was impossible on the switch and when I got the switch, I wanted to play online, so that's why.

Hi, I'm new and learning about switch hb. I plan to install Kosmos. I wish to avoid burning fuses. Also I wish to avoid autoRCM. From what I read, I have to use a jig everytime the console is turned off, and on.
    So,
-Can I leave a jig on 24/7? is there any downside to that?
-Would that affect how I have to use the cfw/homebrew, if I leave the console in sleep mode?
-Do I have to have a jig on whenever I update?
-what happens if my electricity goes off when the switch is on sleep mode?(will it reboot when electricity is restored?, in this case, should a jig be on the switch to prevent any fuse to burn when the power comes back? )

Just go to Nintendo's website, login with your account, and register your banned console as the Primary so your second Switch can become the Primary thus allow it to play your legally owned games more easily.

Don't press the Home button whenever you are in any homebrew application except the homebrew menu.

Sounds like you're missing these patches.

No one has been banned for only using AutoRCM. I'm not necessarily saying its safe but there is no evidence to indicate Nintendo is currently detecting it.

    Sure

Goldleaf is too buggy in my opinion. If you want an open source title installer, Adubbz Tinfoil is the best. Outside of that, you can go for DZ or SX Installer.

Hard stop. It is practically impossible to avoid burning fuses but not use AutoRCM. You would need to make sure your console boots into RCM every time it is turned off meaning you need a jig with a 100% success rate which doesn't exist. There is no reason not to use AutoRCM unless you modified your Joy-Con or installed a trinket. If you have any doubts or worries, you can just read through this thread but I'm telling you its much easier and better overall to use AutoRCM to avoid burning fuses.

I have all my switch games installed as .nsp

When I launch a switch game (SX OS), should I hold R to open the Hbmenu, and launch the game from there?

Or do my switch games (installed as .nsp) automatically load with full RAM?

    Thanks for your reply!
Based on your faq thread I could understand that with autoRCM in Atmosphere version 0.8.4+:
[please correct me if I'm wrong]
1-I can perform system updates without losing autoRCM. With an offline method fuses would be preserved.
2-I can shut down properly from horizon and or Hecate(kosmos 12.2 supports 0.8.10>0.8.4, so I should be ok)
3-after shut down the console will normally recharge. Alternatively, instead, I could leave it in sleep mode and will recharge as well(I assume)
4-the battery will charge slower and might read wrongly[not sure if I misunderstood the later ]
5-everytime I shutdown, instead of sleep I will need to press power(which will rcm) and re inject a payload.

    With that in mind:

    A-in which scenario(s ) would I need a jig again?
B-If I use sleep all the time, I will not stumble with rcm thus will avoid most rcm inconveniences until next shutdown/reboot?
C-If electricity goes off in the house, basically I should run the "Drained switch battery" scenarios?
D-As long as autoRCM is active, is there a scenario I should be careful with to avoid burning fuses?
