this one right? or whatever is the packaging on your region..I got the splat edition and it came with 2.1 i think.
Yeah, just mine came with Neon Blue and Red instead of Pink and Green, and its EU.this one right? or whatever is the packaging on your region..
My console is a romanian import. [PAL] Does that change anything?Uhm, I don't know?
Is that your serial number?
It looks for me like only the first four numbers matter, after that the serial number is probably console unique.
I will edit the OP to only include the first 4 numbers.
I don't think that will change anything, but like I said, I am no expert for switch serial numbers. My guessMy console is a romanian import. [PAL] Does that change anything?
Thank you, I'll add that to the OP.Actually the first 5 letters do not matter by themselves (which you can see, because the same ones have different firmware).
Serial number decoding:
X: From NX. It's actually the platform code.
A: It's the hardware code. A: Switch, B: Joy-Con (L), C: Joy-Con (R). And I assume D for Pro (check the plastic sliver that came with, if it exists).
J/W: West or Japan? Probably the region that was supposed to reach. Maybe with all the pre-orders and the after-launch demand, they just sent them everywhere to keep people happy. Or, at some point they weren't Region-free.
10/14/40/70: Factory made or assembled?
So the best way to know, would be the 3rd-5th characters and on what million (m)/thousand (k) you are.
E.g my switch:
Made on:
J70
Batch:
2.7m
Version:
v1.0
or just J70 2.7m v1.0
Just to clarify, for example the numbers after XAW40 will tell us "when" the switch was made? As you said,You are welcome.
And this way you are still anonymous with 100 thousand different combinations.
