My wii is got hard brick

What happened? What exactly did you do?

Can you access Priiloader by holding (Reset) on power on?

BootMii as IOS isn't helpful alone. You need a way to start it (Priiloader, Homebrew Channel).

I don't see a reason for that when it can be done in Dolphin to "just have a lock at old versions". Downgrading to very low versions doesn't work on newer Wii (?I don't know why?) and you must have the corresponding IOS for an old System Menu to work.

The damage can be repaired by restoring a backup with a hardware flasher. I don't know another way.

Why do so many people randomly install old Wii Menu versions? I swear that there's at least 80 occurrences of people doing the exact same thing one here. Is there some kind of trend going around?

Two reasons:
  1. Curiosity... "I want to see how it looked like"
  2. Piracy bundles. A package full of random WAD files and some people just install them all. Unfortunately these aren't always just games, but sometimes also old Home Menu versions -- including a pre-release relying on an IOS (number 4 I think) which is stubbed by default.

If you design something to be idiot proof, the universe will design a better idiot.
