Not likely. I'm pretty sure the game uses a special chip, that even PC emulators took years to emulate right.

Street Fighter Alpha 2 used the same chip as star ocean, the S-DD1. I very highly doubt you will ever see it on VC

He could mean the Super Nintendo version.

The SNES version uses the same sprite compression chip as Star Ocean. A ROM inject isn't likely to work.
