I've heard some things about both, but I am unsure which is better. I have BootMii installed as boot2 and I want to block disc updates so I can play my newer games through the disc channel again without having to load through Gecko OS every time (since I'm paranoid and know my family will somehow screw up and brick my Wii), but I am conflicted on which one is better and easier to use for non-techie family members. So I guess I'm asking which one of these are noob friendly and which one won't require constant updating? I used the stickied guide months ago, but did not install preloader at the time. Thanks!

If you have Bootmii on boot2 so the best option is starpatch, it wont mess with your system menu and you'll get exactly what you want ^^
