Sony will release the PlayStation 5 in China in Q2 2021
Sony's Chinese branch has confirmed that the PlayStation 5 will indeed be making its way to China. The console will be launching in the country sometime in the second quarter of this year, and it will have its online services region locked. Previously, it took China around 2 years to approve the sale of the PlayStation 4 in the country, making for a big improvement, and meaning those in China who haven't already imported a PS5 won't have much longer to wait.
Sony China has confirmed that it plans to officially launch the PlayStation 5 in Mainland China during Q2 2021.
