I used to download lots of DBZ images, and then print them.

I even remember going to the library, cause that was cheaper internet, and printing Dragonball Z images there.

Damn I wish I could go back to the past.



LOL, I did the exact same thing as a kid, I would go to the library, print awesome DBZ/GT pics and then learn how to draw the characters, good times.

I remember having Dial-Up. I remember the sound it made when connecting, and then being able to use the internet for 30 minutes because my mom thought it was too expensive.

Dial-up... wow, that thing was around when the internet was new and when we were impressed with image downloading. Luckily, I don't have that, but I think I did once, along with windows 98.

Only in the long past days of computers where having a 1GB drive was big (and we had a 10GB drive in addition to that).

Broadband now.

When I had dial-up (which is about 8-10 years ago now) my family had a 700MHz PC with 128mb of RAM. That thing was da shit! Cost £400. I found the spec sheet my dad got when buying it a few years back, hell I remember getting it as my own computer (though it never worked out, before it died it got a virus and the guy trying to fix it never entirely wiped the harddrive) 20GB harddrive though, was cavernous back then!
That was very nerdy...

In other news Dial-Up sound was awesome. Don't rightly know why they wanted you to hear that, I mean they didn't NEED to route it down the computer's case speaker did they? They just needed to play it down the phone line.

I think that was so you'd know it was working or if you were getting a busy signal or something.

Was it not possibly to have it come up on the screen? I mean the computers either end could understand the various beeps and beeps, they couldn't understand a busy tone and have it say "LINE BUSY" on the screen?
