Most of the World Still use dial-up.
I don't, i use broadband.
But i'm still interested.
What's dialup? I saw it in my old history book, but it never told me what it was.
Are you serious?
I had dial-up years ago, I was to young to remember how shit it was.
Oh, dial-up. I still remember our monthly 200€ bills. But no, not anymore. I have 24/1 broadband.
lol, I used to have dial up, up until 4 years ago. It was soooo slow. I still know a couple people who have dial up lol
well some people still use it if their in remote area's, I know my dad uses it for upload only, as he has a satellite connection 1 way
My friend has dial up.
5kb per sec, super slow, used it 10 years ago
my grandparents recently got a dial-up connection. I used to have one manymany years back. Dreadfully slow.
Dial-up is really old and slow.
But if you use compression, or something like opera turbo, it'll make it much more faster.
Only in the long past days of computers where having a 1GB drive was big (and we had a 10GB drive in addition to that).
As far as I know xvolution uses dial-up.
Pi, srsly, you need to take the internet less serious.
I remember having Dial-Up. I remember the sound it made when connecting, and then being able to use the internet for 30 minutes because my mom thought it was too expensive.
A long long long long time ago yes. I remember being little and helping my dad keep the loose phone cables in while he tried to dial in to check on his work. beepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeep...dooodaaaa SCHWOWAWOWAOWOAWOAWOOOOOOOOO.
My aunt used to just use PeoplePC. Good times setting up a demo of a 3DRealms game to download while we ate lunch.
I loved that old dial-up sound.
Yes, it would be quite cool if you could set it to play your own custom sounds...
Also, my relatives still use dial-up. I have to say there location isn't in the best of places internet wise.
It was so cash.
I don't even remember what I did on the internet back then tho.
OH YEA I REMEMBER!!!
I used to download lots of DBZ images, and then print them.
I even remember going to the library, cause that was cheaper internet, and printing Dragonball Z images there.
Damn I wish I could go back to the past.
DSL is what Dial-up evolved to. A separate line just for internet, so people could go uninterrupted.
No I don't still use dial up.
LOL, I did the exact same thing as a kid, I would go to the library, print awesome DBZ/GT pics and then learn how to draw the characters, good times.
