So pissed, can no longer shrink YouTube video player and I get a black screen for all videos!

It didn't change. Looking through the thread, the op was running tons of custom scripts and is now pissed that their out of date script is no longer working/supported. It's quite the thread, I am pretty sure I actually felt a brain cell die.

Is that button "Theater mode"? Wouldn't that make the player larger? I don't know, I use proxies to avoid ads and in turn, could care less about the player size; damn those size-queens

Does anyone have a code to where I can make the YouTube player small again? I'm very angry at goddamn Google at the moment!!

I just use YouTube Center
It seems to be the most up to date and feature complete YT addon.
It doesn't work with the new layout, but you have to opt in to that at the moment anyway, so it's not an issue. Once that layout becomes the default I'll have to look for a new addon though.

The blackscreen is gone, now. But the video player is too damn large.

has it fixed itself? i had the exact same problem a few days ago but it reverted after a day. it seems like they were testing a new youtube redesign.

gotta say, it was pretty frustrating to read through this thread and see that none of you realized that might be the case.

Go complain to Google for removing a buggy video player for your safety of your privacy.... #logic

@CodyMitchel2 what if you just reinstall chrome to get rid of all the extensions or.... use firefox? Sounds like it's literally just the extensions messing this up.

It might already be in theater mode, that's why I mentioned it. To go back to the normal player.

I was going to suggest that, but like Jacklack said, there were no black bars so I didn't bother.
