Gaming Smash 4 - Using someone else's dump?

In many Smash 4 modding guides I've read, the viewer is instructed to make a dump of their game. So what's stopping you from using someone else's dump and saving yourself 10-16 hours? I already have my dump, so I'm just wondering.
