So yeah, this thing was released now

https://github.com/fadedled/seta-gx

But seems to be VERY experimental, and right now there's one big setback, IT ONLY WORKS WITH GAMECUBE CONTROLLERS TO EVEN NAVIGATE THE MENUS, supposedly, so i couldnt do any damn tests, and since i use a WiiMini i am shit out of luck (all because i had micro pauses issues on my regular Wii)

Considering it took 3 years to get Playstation emulation on Wii to be at a decent state as it is today, and using a fork of a fork on top of all, well, i dont know...........

For me, all Wii hombrews and emulators should work with GameCube controllers as the primary controller, because the GameCube controller on the Wii doesn't lag and allows for mods of arcade controllers and practically all the existing controllers for the Wii emulators. It's good that they include compatibility with other Wii controller options as an option, but for me, the most interesting one is the GameCube one.

Interesting thing... but without support for Wiimote (and preferably Classic Controller) it won't be popular, as many people don't have GameCube controllers (me) or even support for then (newer Wiis).

Anyone has tested it? How about compatibility / performance?

I tried the previous version of the emulator, and it ran Taromaru, not at 100%, but quite well. I'm looking forward to trying the game with this new update.

This is the third update I’m seeing and this is the first time I’m hearing of this emulator. I do have gamecube controllers but I’m now hoping for classic controller support, that would definitely make sense for the Wii mini. Maybe this week I test this out.

Was able to test the English translated version of Princess Crown. I have to say it's working well although the choppiness during the Saturn bios gives you an idea already of what to expect (less than 60 fps). Decent but videos like the intro in Castlevania is a mess. It does look promising and hopefully someday it can be comparable to the status of the wiistation psx emulation that we have now.

I tried Elevator Action Returns and it works better than the previous update. There are graphical glitches in the images between stages. Taromaru has a graphical glitch in the first phase that prevents you from seeing the battle, whereas in the previous update it was playable without this glitch. I tried several other Shootemup games and it seems the emulator runs faster and smoother. You're doing a great job

This is amazing even if it is not 💯 % fine tuned. I don’t think Saturn emulation for Wii would get past yabause which was pretty poor tbh.

Could you me point me in the right direction?
You need wiistation the latest version most games run very well and the emulator has settings to adjust Accordingly.

looking at the comments on their github page? didnt they promised that THIS build that took em a year to make will allow the use of Wiimote and Classic controllers?

Well, damn, none of those games seem to run higher than 20-30fps in speed.
Small steps I guess similar to Wiisxr and wiistation,it took a lot of time and effort. Hopefully with more changes it can be better functionality
