Hi

I tried with 3 different SD cards, all the CFWs, with 2 differents versions of the firmware, with FAT32 and ExFAT, but i still have the same problem; my switch can't boot anymore in CFWs, i have a "failed to initialize the sd card error" everytime. But in OFW, no problem, i see the sd card in the switch settings.

i can't understand if it's a problem with my sd card reader or a software problem that i can't find

thanks in advance for your help

Try pressing on the back of the case at the point where the connector is on the motherboard for the cable from the SD slot (Google for images to find the location). If the cable isn't fully connected, Nintendo's driver falls back to using one data line (at slower speed), but hekate/atmosphere's driver doesn't, that's why the difference.

What format is your file system on the card?

Are you using emunand?
No, I'm starting fresh on my unpatched switch. all of those card are read fine on my other unpatched switch ( Fat32 for one card and exfact for another card ). Both are reading fine at there.

I try 3 card with all format on problem unpatched switch.
When I try SX OS . It gave me the boot.dat missing icon ( seem like it can't read all of my sd card )
When I try on Hetake using Tegrasmash. it boot to hetake menu but when I go and check the SD card section it's show failed to read SD card.

I am so sad right now. Got the unpatched switch and yet can't do anything because of that un-detect memory in RCM, Hetake or SX OS.

Here is my little update. So later on I decided to swap my SD reader slot from my working switch and put it in my problem switch. Same error still happen. Surprisingly both card reader seem to read all the card just fine.

So I think it is really something with the switch itself not the memory or SD slot.

Why dont you restore from nand and remake cfw ? I probably would have done that before actually swapping the reader.

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar

    nope
