They're just repeating what other news sites are saying (looks like Kotaku). All the server is doing is negotiating matchmaking and forwarding a few DNS entries to our own server (oh, and it also does some DLC file sending like in Pokemon), there's not that much of a strain on it at all. And even if we were to get a massive amount of users, we can easily setup multiple servers to take the load off of the current one.

Hell, we've only used 3gb of bandwidth since the public server's gone up, and close to 2.5gb of that was the DLC being uploaded to it.

DLC for Warioware DIY requires a different server which is not created yet. It will be eventually, though. As far as Warioware goes, though, I've decided to not put up all of the user generated DLC that I downloaded before due to privacy reasons. I'll try to save the official Nintendo things, though.
Also keep in mind the user generated stuff in the friend crates is inaccessible to the game without the proper friend code setup. (unless of course someone uses the method we used in the first place).

So I got this code for Pokemon Platinum. It's for V1.0 (Mine's a launch day game card).

Mostly seems to work for me, WiFi Plaza returns a 52200 for me so far, although Mystery Gift works fine. Haven't checked things like the GTS yet.

Hey guys, i see in github says this:
"NOTE: Some games (Mario Kart DS being one of them) do not work with this method yet. For those games you will need manual patches. Some can be found here."

I wasn't able to see which special, or manual patches exists for any single game.... can anyone tell me?

Hello, so I'm kind of new to all of this and I was thinking to test this wifi thing. So I do everything that says on the test server page(patch the games with NoSSL, use that DNS addres) but I still get a " no acces point in range plase try again"(error code 50099). How to fix that?

I don't think no$gba works with wifi and while desume has wifi support, they seem to shut off any kind of internet connection for some reason.

Did you set up DeSmuMe right? It's SUPER finnicky when it comes to wifi. I recommend following this guide. It is very helpful and was the only way I could get mine to connect to wifi. I recommend that anyone who has issues with DeSmuMe wifi check this guide and make sure everything checks out.

FYI for those who don't already know, this also works on The Wii U in vWii mode (of course). It took me a while to get it all setup, I made several attempt videos which are just excruciating to watch lol. If there's enough demand for this, I will make a start to finish setup video that isn't garbage lol. But here's a video of me playing Mario Kart Wii on this unofficial server :). Its a bit long, only because I sat in the queue for a while waiting to be matched up with another player (there were only 70 MKWii Players on the whole server at the time), but you can always skip by that portion of the video if you'd like and "cut to the chase."

Here's the video:

Again, if anyone would like me to create a start to finish tutorial on how to set this up for use on the Wii U (in vWii mode) just ask! :) Also join the server, the more players the funner it will be for all!

To be honest, I actually don't think the WFC users will be as high as they were before, so the Plaza is quite useless?

Ya I'm with Krakatau on this one. I don't see enough people utilizing the Plaza on the Wii or the DS on this server. I mean realistically, I highly doubt the amount of traffic this server will reach at peak will be enough to make it useful, but then again, who knows? *shrugs*

To be honest, I really think we should focus on the essential things. Like the online services in which you don't need lots of people utilizing in.
Like in this thing, for the Plaza, you actually need lots of people using it to make it actually fun to use.
