I'm not particularly aware of such an issue; I'd still consider reinstalling it just in case.
That aside, I'm afraid I don't have any ideas, I've never had an icon disappear on me. =/

If I recall correctly, 3DNUS or something should be able to grab it.
If you're looking for 9.2's, something like the downgrade packs should have it somewhere in there.

This is arm9 exploit, not boot-time exploit.
You can get emunand from either one. (it's more practical to get emunand from boot-time exploit)

Depends on what you mean by "slower".
You can do everything that you could do on 9.2 with this exploit chained with svchax/waithax/fasthax.

Well you have to run two applications before you can do anything with it while on 9.2 you just run the thing you want to do.

follow 3ds.guide that will give you all the files for 11.00 and 11.1 and if you are on 11.2 then wait for fasthax to be released later today and the guide to be updated.

been having no luck with waithax and safehax even on the newest builds but just tried this safehax with fasthax re-integrated and it didn't work either
UNTIL
i used oot3dhax instead of soundhax then it worked first try! on 11.0.0-33U

Well you have to run two applications before you can do anything with it while on 9.2 you just run the thing you want to do.

Once this exploit is more developed, it will probably be integrated with applications that require arm9.

I ran waithax and after it finished it i tried going to safehax and my 3ds crashed
I'm on 11.0 using soundhax
