A 16-bit styled blast from the past? A Metroidvania styled platformer game? What sets this apart from all the others, you ask? Five years of hard work by one man, the blood, sweat, and tears that went into it. But is it worth it?

Ask me a million times and the answer will always be "yes".

Join us for the latest Official GBAtemp Review as Sicklyboy takes on Axiom Verge, an indie 16-bit styled Metroidvania game from sole developer Tom Happ, due out March 31st on the PS4 and soon to follow on the PS Vita and Windows PC.

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar

    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
@Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
