Uhm, hi... I have tried numerous ways to be able to play pokemon b/w on my r4 (www.r4i-u.com) and everybody just kept saying that i should try retrogamefan's multi cart update, and here i am and I did. problem is my flashcart isn't on the list (not really a surprise) but I have tried all the files included in the v6.70. When I try to load ttmenu from the r4sdhc i get a white screen with a cube on the leftmost bottommost of my lower screen. While I have also tried r4 original clone wherein i was able to successfully boot ysmenu only problem is i keep getting dldi errors in any game I load. Can experienced people please enlighten me about this? As you may have noticed I am fairly new to this thing and have little to no experience at all, or if nothing can be done at all can I please get a solid response of "nothing can be done". Please I have been trying to get my r4 working since 2 months ago... (

If the firmwares don't work, you can always try patching your ROM with the DS-Scene Rom Tool. The tool will tell you if your ROM is in the database, and if it is, you will be able to patch it. If it isn't in the database, have a look around and see if you can find a clean ROM somewhere. retrogamefan creates the updates for it, so if that still doesn't work, there's something odd going on with your R4. It should work, though.

Thank you very much for putting a great deal of time and effort into this, I very much appreciate it. I'm pretty new to this, so please forgive me but is it possible to re-add the function of pressing 'L+R+X+A+B+Y' to go back to the root menu? when I do it now it brings up a white screen with a little icon/face telling me that there's no cart inserted.

I'm aslo unable to play the following.

1) New Carnival Games (read your spoiler)
2) Toy Story 3 (works when patched) sorry

I'm unsure as to if they're patched or clean, though my cart is R4SDHC

This happened to me, because I need to change the name of the main file to R4.dat, but if you keep your renamed file and the same file with the original name in the same folder, soft reset will work.
It works for me in that way. Don't know if you need to change the main file name to work in your cart, but you should give it a try.

So, o you renamed the TTmenu.dat to r4dldi.dat, right? You need to keep your renamed file and then extract again the TTmenu.dat to the same folder (normally the root of the card) and DON'T rename it.
