Sure thing. Retro Arch might come up with new Sega Saturn, and Nintendo 64 emulators soon. Seems that Yabause, SSF and Mupen64 cores; just to name a few; will be in development in the near future. Sega Saturn cores will have a Lightrec compiler, and we can't wait to see what Retro Arch has to offer.
I'm not sure now, but it seems that (parallel 64 N64 and Mupen64 plus-next) is the best N64 core in Retraorch I think.

I'm almost certain that only Beetle PSX and Pcsx_Rearmed are using Lightrec.. both PS1 only.
Where did you hear about Yabause? can you link me to the Yabause Lightrec source?
It's Yaba Sanshiro Pro 2 for Android, it has light recompiler
but I didn't find its source but it has this option in (dynarec).
I only have the ssf and yabause sources:

ssf:
https://github.com/shimazzz/SEGASaturnEmulator-SSF/archive/refs/tags/PreviewVer.zip

yabause:

Thanks ,but unless we can see the actual source with the Lightrec implementation to look through it doesn't matter.
Even with the Lightrec Dynarec added we would still need GL support on WiiU to run decently probably, but Lightrec would be a big step forward, we know that works on WiiU :P

Yes, the only way is to wait for some time to pass,
I believe that the console is capable of running the N64 and Saturn, at most even the Dreamcast, although we also see the PSP which is another emulator that is still, but very good for playing some games.
The Wii U is a good console for emulation.

I've tested many games on emulators in the past, so I have a good idea on which settings games would run best.
For example, I tried modifying the Wii64 rice ini to run some games that were previously buggy, configuring it via the ini it worked, I noticed that for each new game that we test and that is not configured, it creates an ini with the game ID without anything configured I added it there manually and it worked, but I can't add controls like the pro controller at all.
I was even surprised that some games ran much better than before. But opening and recompiling I haven't been able to but I've been trying These classic games are really good

Just tested all 3 of those Cores and all working fine here, maybe an issue your end? try deleting your Retroarch.cfg

Sorry. I have a problem with GameCube controllers

In recent versions, the up and left axis of both sticks doesn't work at any time. Only the down and right one works. I use the official adapter.

What I find strange is that they are only with GameCube controllers. With any other I don't have the problem of the axis.

I would like to know if there is any solution. An apology if the text is not understood. I translated with DeepL. I speak spanish.

From what I've seen it varies. Still alot of testing and building going on in both, some work better or worse on either but not the other or a recent build may screw up a previous good build... It happens!

Overall I'd say both are good, both have their plus points but it's down to what works better for you either loading thru the Wii OC or dealing with the load times in retroarch. Or the game you want may run better in one and not the other... It's all trial and error!

It's probably a noob question but I put the pcsx core (rpx file) in the correct folder among all the other rpx files, it loads correctly on retroarch but then it doesn't let me load .bin files and/or .cue files. When selecting a game in those two formats pcsx doesn't show up as an available core. What am I doing wrong?

Very good, what I was using works perfectly too, lately I have hardly been on here, I was trying to discover new ways to make n64 games work well, like Resident Evil 2 (Biohazard 2) as they call it in Japan, to be able to run it perfectly with the cgs are correct without errors without crashing now trying to do the same with megaman 64 which crashes in a part of the game where you will still face a giant yellow robot from that little guy who wears green clothes I forgot his name

Does ps1 work better in retroarch or wiistation through overclocked vwii ?
Wiistation has better compatibility and almost any games will run at full speed, the thing is that the vWii has a couple extra frames of input lag by itself compared to an actual Wii, so for the moment we - Wii U users- have to make a choice, either no stuttering+some input lag (vWii) or some stuttering+no lag (Wii U Retroarch).

Ok I see. Tbh I'm one of those 12 people who has a Wii U connected to a CRT TV with Scart RGB and I notice zero input lag even in vWii, I'd probably notice it on a modern TV though :)

You would be correct, I went from CRT to HDMI during the Wii U and PS3 era (due to an unfortunate accident, had to play solely on my Wii U gamepad screen for a couple of months before I could afford a new TV and finally immigrate to HDMI) and yes input lag becomes more of an issue, not only that but depending on the TV and the emulator used retro games can get very distorted and blurry on HDTVs making them unplayable.

Both these games have PS1 ports, more importantly RE2 has an official Gamecube port and plays great on Nintendont.

Yep that did the thing. So it's possible to have WiiU retroarch (1.16) AND WiiFlow set on the same sd card, with the Tetsuo cores for retroarch-wii.... Yeah I'm the setup man 🤔

That's nice but the N64 version has a number of exclusive features that were not included on any other system, such as alternate costumes, the ability to adjust the degree of violence and to change the blood color, a randomizer to place items differently during each playthrough, and a more responsive first-person control scheme ect.

But even more importantly the N64 version features 16 new in-game documents known as the "Ex Files", They are hidden throughout the four scenarios, and reveal new information about the series' lore.

Do you mean that if you test the same game on vWii wiistation then Wii U RA there's no noticeable difference? In my case there is a difference, I can tell just by moving through any game's main menu.

I didn't test it yet on RA Wii U because I can't load any game. Actually I wouldn't mind if you can give me some advice lol no one answered sadly:

(Btw yes, I never noticed any lag on vWii and CRT tv)

What version of the core are you trying to load the Peops version or the Unai version, the Peops version should work fine as is but for the Unai version you going to need the a Unai Core Info file also otherwise you'll get an issue like you getting now?

If you are using the Unai build:
Extract this zip to SD:/retroarch/cores and delete the core_info.cache file in the info folder ;)
Load up Retroarch and try to load a game you should be able to see the Core now :)
