i just got cfw. Where exactly to i put the files for retroarch? Is it like sd://Switch/[Retroarchcorename]/[Retroarchcorename].nro?

Retroarch will not work past 3.0.0 unless someone port it to libnx (..or libtransitor gets updated to support higher FWs...)

i just recompiled some stuff but the bridge between 3x and 5x is that libtransistor dont support anything up 3x and there is no retroarch for libnx

I find this libnx/libtransistor divide confusing.
From what I read, HBL supports both but everything written in libnx works far better on multiple firm and has jit support
whereas libt seems limited to 3.0.0 systems.
If that’s correct, I don’t get why HB focus is not on converting Retroarch over to libnx.
Sure I must be missing something here so would like to be educated.

Well for me some of the core works on 2.3.0 but not the beetlepsx one.
For me on 1.0 RA dies immediately on boot, no chance of even getting to load a core.
PFBA on the other hand works great and is stable even on 1.0
Libnx 1 Libt 0
I can’t see that having 2 seperate libraries is going to be healthy for future hb dev.
Why not just ditch libt in favour of libnx? - I’m really keen to know.

where do i put the roms?
inside switch folder?

I put them inside a folder called roms inside the switch folder. Make sure to use subfolders for collections of over 100 roms as it seems to overwhelm the menu to show a screen of more than. 100 or so. Example

Switch/roms/nes/abc

I'm on 3.0.0 and everything seems work just fine.
But I really hope we can get retroarch support LibNX because of JIT support which is extremely important for enhancing speed on any emulator. As well as to make an opportunity for people who are already on a higher FW.
