NSP Retro Arch Batch Forwarder

This is to solve a problem I always face when someone ask me to setup a ton of forwarders for them. I just got tired of doing them and thought there had to have been a simpler way. Since I didn't find any solution for it online I just decided to make one.

Point it at your RetroArch \playlists folder, tick the games you want, and it builds a launchable NSP forwarder for each one — with box art pulled straight from your RetroArch thumbnails and a fresh, never-reused Title ID. Launch a game from the Switch home menu and it boots directly in RetroArch.

I provide some nice features outside of just batch NSP creator.

  • Reads RetroArch playlists
  • Automatic box art
  • See what has art at a glance
  • Download missing covers
  • Smart core picker
  • Icon fit for any shape
  • Clean names
Everything can be found in my GitHub repo with more details. I tried to make this as simple to use as possible. Just wanted to make something for me to use and just wanted to share it to everyone for free. I don't expect anything out of it and I will try my best to maintain it, so just report any issues and I will do my best to get to them. Thanks!

This is my TODO list for future releases:
  • Add support for tico and other emulators
  • Clean up any bugs the community points out

Rep and download can be found here
