Exactly we should remember that RetroArch not even was released yet, as VPK.
All we have are developer snapshots and nothing more.
Developing something such complex needs time even when its mostly "just" porting.

Exactly!
Hence why this is more a beta-test than anything; because it is! Expect nothing to work as it should.
And that's why it's so fun for me~

I'm just waiting for the dosbox core to function at all. My biggest hope would be that it uses the vita's keyboard for it as well.

I can't run anything in CPS2. I have sfa3.zip and I made a cache file with cps2conv batch file and romcnv_cps2 from the VHBL CPS2 adhoc emulator. I put sfa3.zip and the sfa3.cache in a folder, go to Load Content and select sfa3.zip and it says Vita controller configure in port #1 and #0 and nothing loads.

Can anyone who has CPS2 working tell me what they did, what files were used, how they generated a cache, which version of Retroarch they're using, etc?

Again...Make sure you're using roms from the FBAlpha rom set; roms/cache that worked with the VHBL emulators won't work with the FBA emulator cores here.

To SeongGino: Could you maybe add a reminder to the top post that the FBA cores require roms from the FBA rom set and that the VHBL emulator roms/cache won't work? Seems a lot of people are having the same problem...Thx!

I didn't think I'd have to remind others, buuuuut if push comes to shove with this...

EDIT: Ask and you shall receive.

FBA/MAME disclaimer: Final Burn Alpha uses a different ROMset from the NJEmu PSP emulators (Those use MAME 0.12x series ROMsets). MAKE SURE you are using the Final Burn Alpha v0.2.97.30 ROMsets with FBA. ONLY USE MAME/NJEmu ROMsets when the MAME emulator is confirmed working!

See? Big and red fonts. LISTEN TO THE BIG AND RED FONTS.

After updating to the 8-11 nightly, Sega CD bin/cues are now recognized in GenesisPlusGX. The few I've tested run at 60fps.

I also tested Ginga Fukei Densetsu Sapphire (Super Arcade CD) with Mednafen_PCE_Fast and it runs at 60fps. A dream come true!

This is pretty obvious, but reading around the forums there have been a few people who haven't realised this - you can share your roms between native Vita homebrew and VHBL, you don't have to waste space making two separate copies of all your roms. As long as your roms are somewhere in ux0:/pspemu/PSP/, they will be accessible by both Vita and VHBL homebrew. I personally use ux0:/pspemu/PSP/Roms/[console name here]

In Retroarch, you can change the default rom path using Settings->Directory->File Browser Dir, then you don't have to manually navigate to that directory.

Of course as stated above, FBAlpha requires romsets specifically for FBAlpha, so you can't share the romsets with emulators that require Mame-style romsets etc.

Does anyone know where the catsfc core went? I see there are 4 different snes9x cores, did they rename to one of those or..?

If they dropped it what is the recommended core? I mostly play the popular titles. (Mario +romhacks, metroid etc.)
