Scan Directory.

Just tried this to add games and on some directories it take forever to scan.
Is there any particular reason why?

Is it down to size of file? Zipped?

On Mednafen core?

Efera & Jiloria doesn't work on any emulator I've tried. Sucks 'cause its a surprisingly good game.

Also the only emulator I can find that properly runs the animation scenes from Popful Mail is PCEP (Thats what started me using it).

I used to have problems with the 4in1 Super CD Sampler with WiiMednafen too...but haven't tried it yet with Retroarch Mednafen...

Just so happens I've not tried those

Overall it's pretty good and the OLed screen makes it all look crisp if you take off Bi-linear filtering.

In fact I take Bi-linear filtering on all cores.

For PSP on Vita, there is Adrenaline, but you need a PSP demo on your Vita.

Why do you want a psp emulator when you can run psp games/homebrew natively through a fully hacked ePSP.

Ridge Racer PBP has crackling noise when playing the music.
Is this a compression problem or Retroarch.

Bin Cue version is Ok

Because I'd rather played at upscaled resolution rather than the shitty ePSP emu that stretches everything to become a blurry pixelated mess.

Did you realice that with TaiHEN could be a workaround for it in a future?

It won't. Or at least from what I know it can't. In theory Arenaline could have achieved that but there are certain we can't access and may never. That's why Arenaline was coded to have filters but not more than that. I believe there is no access to the GPU (or something around those lines, someone who knows better will be sure to correct me. THis is the internet) and that's why it can't be achieved.

Don't get me wrong, Adrenaline with filters is a decent enough alternative. But if Sony had put a modicum of effort into the Vita, we would have gotten something way better. When you I pay 250€ for a piece of hardware, I expect better than "decent".

Good news is USB is coming. So maybe one day someone will find the GPU hooks

How could these be related ? I'm not saying they're not, I want to understand how some PS Vita file system Windows NT driver can help getting full hardware access with unsigned code.

I never said they were. But someone found a way to make the Vita do things it wasn't supposed to. First, homebrew, then USB. The passing of time has seen more stuff be possible we never thought would be. I never said they were related, but I was implying that with enough time impossible things become possible.

you know I'm just going to tell you what I normally say to people who cry about something never getting hacked the way they want...No human is perfect therefor no code is perfect ANYTHING can be done if the right person comes along to put the time and effort into it.. I've said it once and I'll say it again a PSP emulator is the dumbest fucking thing I see people beg for because the games via adrenaline look much better than they EVER did on PSP especially if you use the scanline filter and they even play MUCH better as well

No. They really don't. It's okay to NOT want something and I can understand your reasoning. But you lost me at look better. All the adrenaline filters do is attenuate the issue and make it passable. It's great work nonetheless. But you're blatantly lying by saying they look better that objectively.

Yes, I think adrenaline is better than pspemu(official) too. Now we can capture images, to acess psp's store, to use config official to right analog and others.

somebody has apparently not done much testing Type-0 for example looks MUCH better with scanlines even better than it did on my psp unless you are one of the crazy people that are expecting PPSSPP HD textures which is not going to happen on vita...

Have you failed reading comprehension? I said it attenuates the issue (i.e. makes it not look terrible) and no one is asking for textures. But if you were able to run the game at native res (PSP upscaled about 1.5x?/2x) then the scanlines wouldn't even be needed. I'm not saying Adrenaline sucks, I did state it does the best job it can. But to claim they "look good" even with scanlines is just...

After updating to the latest nightly I'm not getting any audio in CPS2. Anyone else having this problem?
Edit: Nevermind, audio is working after reloading the core.

RA also doesn't seem to be remembering my default File Browser (roms) directory location any longer, even though it's correctly set in the configuration.

I'm getting the same issues.

PSX ain't loading CTR, when it did time ago. The music is also missing in some games, like Castlevania SotN or Suikoden 1.

Hope this is for the sake of better things in the future, but... you could look it, Libretro team.
