Apple restore error 1603

i need to restore my iphone cause the internet stoped working so i wanted to restore it to 4.0 to 4.2 and i did when the bar was almost at 75% it stopped and sayed in exact words:
The iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. An unknown error occured (1603)
please help i need it fixed
additional info: itunes is fully updated it and so is java i tryed to restored this same iphone and before it said unknown error 6 i have a hp pavillion dv7 hp notebook laptop i tryed to restore this phone multiple times
now it wont even start restoring
never mind i did it again and it started to restore but i still get the same error
now its back to error 6

please help me

do you have your SHSH saved? it might not matter but it still would be recommended.

also, you meant to say 4.0.2 not 4.2
