actually Wood is Kernel

Oh,,, sorry, so far i still confused about the firmware and kernel things, so most of the time, i always say the same. and i always see the "wood firmware" in their official site, so i say it, but yeah, i know there are very different.

And another, the link you left is the update patch which can be called firmware?

In the end, so i think the guy actually need the wood kernel V1.46, not the update patch for DSi V1.44.

Firmware = compatibilty for DSi / 3DS frimware
Kernel = compatibilty for games (Wood, AKAIO, RGF e.t.c)

I downloaded it, but the firmware contains 2 files. Which file do I use: the NDSL or DSi?

PS: I have to update the card with a DS Lite becuase my 3ds new firmware is blocking it out.

Do not update your R4i Gold. Just have a look at the table and decide whether to update your card or not.
All r4i gold(r4ids.cn) have been pre-flashed to support the latest system.

Yes, that need update. Not all the r4i gold 3ds is pre-flashed as some shop maybe have the old stock.
Just the newest cards from r4ids.cn has been pre-flashed.

But it works on my 3.0.0-6
