Sigh ... it's impossible to make a card with 100% compatible DS Download Play for all games. Obviously, some of you don't even understand how the system works.

There are two solutions:

1. Flash your co-players DS (a matter of five minutes, really)
2. Go and buy the original game

Maybe sounds too harsh, but that's how it is. It's impossible. Period.

haha, the R4 is so neat, I'm new to the DSLite thingy. I don't even have a DS lite yet. My bro said he is going to order me one. I hope the R4 is a success.

i dont know cuase i have not recieved my R4ds yet but if you go to the r4ds website and click on development they say they tested it with A-data cards and it works fine

I was taking a look at the new chinese firmware 1.05 and there is a DIY version for those who wish to create skins. I uploaded it to megaupload because R4DS.com is ultra slow. Especially when it comes to DLing a 2.9MB file.

One more question, Is BambooGaming reliable? If you buy from them, THe R4 is still $45 even though it says $33, They just subtract $12 from it and use it as a shipping cost. So it's still $45. But I guess that's ok, Because If i bought it from another site for $45, and I pay a shipping fee, I would be paying more.

Well I just finished a complete custom skin for it. Although I won't release it till I properly test it and see how it works (and it might take even longer if it's not useable for older updates. Then it will have to wait till 1.05 eng is released). Here is a preview for anyone interested

If I remember correctly DS-X doesn't have all games working with download play. (Not like I'm complaining, I could care less about that feature)

My R4 just arrived so far tests have been good no games have not run properly. Just wandering if anyone knows how to prevent the thing from auto booting?

It means you have to take the cart out to use pictochat.

I don't remember if I read this for SCone or R4.. but try to hold down 'A' when booting.

Ok you're absolutely right. The DS-X isn't by far supporting every game's download play. But as far as I know it has the highest compatibility concerning this point. If any of these new cards would have a nearly as good download play compatibilty as the DS-X, the DS-X would theoretically be dethroned.
